The reason there are specific areas only for motorbikes in parking lots is to reduce the amount taking up space for other vehicles. The person parking a van in the motorbike parking spots deserves to have that happen to them. If you don't want motorbikes parked behind you, don't park in their spots.

User avatar #44 - saltyfries (06/20/2014) [-]
a lot of Cops in my hometown have converted from Crown Victoria's to either Ford Explorer's or Dodge Chargers, I've never seen a Challenger cop car. I think only 2 districts in my hometown still use the CV, mainly rural areas.
User avatar #46 - kerfufflemachtwo (06/20/2014) [-]
I'm just north of Detroit. Pretty much every city here still has a Crown Vic or two left. The Charger is the most popular right now, followed by the Taurus. A good amount of Explorers can be seen. The state police go for Tahoes, though. Also, the Caprice is starting to pop up more around here.
#47 - saltyfries (06/20/2014) [-]
I think 1 district in Green Bay uses the old Impala or Malibu for cop cars, I wanna say it's Green Bay's east side, west side are Chargers, Howard use Explorer's, I think Hobart and Allouez still use CV's, De Pere has Chargers too. Our state police still use CV's
User avatar #48 - kerfufflemachtwo (06/20/2014) [-]
Yeah, there were a few Impalas around here, but they weren't common.

Then there are the special cop cars. One city, Berkley, has a Hummer. They are not a rural city. Royal Oak has a few Mustangs. Hazel Park has a couple Jags.

Those don't used much. They do get brought out for the Woodward Dream Cruise, though.
User avatar #50 - saltyfries (06/20/2014) [-]
btw, my condolences that you live in Detroit
User avatar #51 - kerfufflemachtwo (06/20/2014) [-]
I'm actually two miles north of Detroit. Not in the city limits, but still in the metro area.

Much nicer than the city itself, though. Two miles makes a huge difference.
User avatar #52 - saltyfries (06/20/2014) [-]
ever go to Auburn Hills or Pontiac? I heard the poor Silverdome is rotting badly
User avatar #53 - kerfufflemachtwo (06/20/2014) [-]
Not often. Those are at least ten miles north of me.

It was, but they did repair it, and it's being used for stuff again. Just not any pro sport at the moment.

The only pro team that doesn't play in Detroit itself is the Pistons.

Also, Ford and Chrysler don't have their headquarters in Detroit. Ford is in Dearborn, and Chrysler is in Auburn Hills.
User avatar #55 - saltyfries (06/20/2014) [-]
not to be racist but, i find it odd that the Pistons of the NBA (a predominantly black sport) is based in a suburb, while the Red Wings of the NHL (a predominantly white sport) is in the city, when Detroit is a mostly black city and Auburn Hills is mostly white... For some reason I just don't think that makes sense...
User avatar #56 - kerfufflemachtwo (06/20/2014) [-]
Lions used to be the same way, too.

Then again, the Red Wings have been in Detroit long before it became a mostly black city. First in the Olympia building, then Joe Louis Arena.

Not sure how long the Pistons have been around. Or the Palace of Auburn Hills, for that matter. But not as long as the Red Wings.
User avatar #57 - saltyfries (06/20/2014) [-]
PoAH has been around since 1988, they used to play at Cobo

It depends on how the 3D is used. If its used properly to show depth in the scenses, then its damn fantastic and makes fora great viewing experience. if it's used to do the stupid"OH SHIT ITS FLYING AT YOUR FACE" thing, then its really stupid and beign used as a damned gimmick. There is a chance that you may not be able to actually watch 3D, as it can actually hurt some people, although I don't know the reason.
