Yeah, but that's comparable to your wife getting a disease that will kill her unless you pay for the treatment.

You either fix it or it will die.

The newer model Dodge Chargers, which are used by most police departments and all state patrol officers, can break 180. They wouldn't have an issue catching them. And they would chase the driver, that's what they are paid to do.

Heads up, Charger is getting replaced by the Chevy Caprice, civilian version is called the Chevy SS.
Its not about reaching the speeds, its the chase its self. Cops in the US are usually not allowed to chase motorcycles at speeds over 100 miles an hour. Most of the time if a cop trys to pull a motorcycle over and the motorcycle speeds off they dont chase, its too dangerous to chase such a small vehicle at high speeds and all the bike rider can do is hurt himself really.

I agree. The people that say they don't want an electric car are just being cunts. Their excuse is usually "I don't want to charge it after every trip". That's just fucking lazy, all you do is plug it in over night, the same as you do with your smart phone.

Fair enough them saying electric engines aren't as good as fuel, currently. But give it another 10 years of research and electric engines will be on top.

At the moment, you've got Tesla Motors that are doing a great job. Their 85kwh gets you 310 miles (est.) (About the same as you'd get on a full tank of gas), 130mph top speed and 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds. All that is nice, but as anon said, its useless to have a 130mph top speed when the speed limit in most places is 70mph (For motorways), and in cities you'd be lucky to get 40mph. The top speed is just for show on the spec list.

Maybe ten years for the market to accept electric, but as far as Im concerned this Merc and the 450hp Hybrid Lexus has proved that electric technology has gone far enough to be every day use.

With that said I will never give up my loud ass V8s

Except of course, for the patrolling officers of your area. They may have a few things to say about that...
User avatar #48 - Jewssassin (09/28/2013) [-]
Yeah, they say "Oh shit, hes on a motorcycle going over 100 miles per hour, Im not allowed to chase him."

Besides, do you do everything they tell you to? Seriously thats why sports cars are made. For people that just dont care.

Well, unless your pickup's cab is made of paper, it'll survive a rollover into snow, and if you've got your belt on, so will you. A moose goes into the cab, though, it'll flatten it, and you along with it.
