i learned to read when i was 2 years old. i have read literally hundreds of books. you wish you had my level of reading comprehension.
oh btw my grandfather, a professor in communication, says the way he worded his reply was to disagree with me. not to agree. so he did, in fact, imply that it was a mcdonalds. sorry if that goes over your head.
User avatar
#92 - ninesundev (12/11/2015) [-]
FFS. The for the last time: I did not imply McDondal's. I made fun of the term "community center" becuase it is in the very center of that community.

Get it?
Community center - center of community?
Not?

Mhm, maybe you have a serious lack of logic than.

BTW: "i learned to read when i was 2 years old. i have read literally hundreds of books. you wish you had my level of reading comprehension. " This sounds like a defence from a ragin 12 year old. "mimimimi always better than you .... I am insane, also my dad is better than you" Seriously, you missed my joke and wanted to blame me and ferrettamer for it.

They were also selling some stuff on the side like jewelry and all that. I bought a bracelet for $15, then when I was looking at it later I realized it is pure silver, probably worth a lot more than the 15 I paid for it.

I think it's just a nice gesture. It's basically like you wouldn't go to Ethiopia and chow down on a turkey leg while starving children look up at you. Same with him. While he volunteered and visited areas affected by Katrina, he ditched his chains so that people without money and who had lost everything didn't have to look at it.

Also, I think he did end up selling his chains for money that he used to benefit the victims.

According to Forbes, he sold the gold to help the survivors. He also visited and assisted survivors. Now, that's all by his word alone, but given his track record he doesn't seem like the lying type. According to TV.com , he's done a lot of work for the Starlight and Make-a-Wish foundations.

Also, when he was a bouncer, his business card read: "Next to God, there is no better protector than I."

Depends where in the state you live, but overall its kinda crappy. I'm from the Gulf Coast, which is really the only place worth living in the state imo. The people here aren't like the stereotypical Mississippian you'd might think about. And we have beaches, but not white sand and blue water. The Mississippi sound is pretty dirty. So if you're thinking some tropical getaway well eh thats not it. But if you got a boat or are into fishing and stuff like that, its good for you.

Outside of the Coast the only other places worth living would be in a college town like Oxford or Starkville. And maybe Jackson the capitol would be worth living in, but I've only been through there so I cant tell you how it is round there.

Other than those places the state is just full of cows and country folks. So since there isn't really anything big in the state, it can be boring.
#25 to #24 - neosword (12/31/2014) [-]
Are you admitting to a country accent here haha
User avatar #27 to #25 - Jenisist (12/31/2014) [-]
I don't have one, people from the Coast generally don't have one.

Go a couple hours north from the beaches though and you'll definitely find some.

The Gulf Coast really is different from the rest of the state. If we could we would succeed into the state of South Mississippi.

Eh, its just out in the sticks you got people stuck in the past. Theres the white fols with their farms and ranches that have been in the family since the civil war. Which, being stuck in the past, you can imagine racial tensions are high. I've met some truly racist old white men in this state.

Then in the delta you got poverty, crime, and piss poor education. Its a shame, lots of talent has come to this state. But because we just dont have the money/resources, Mississippi lags behind the rest of the union.

The Coast is different though, because we have all sorts of different people down here. And we have income coming in all the time through the gaming business down here, and fishing. Also theres some big companies that have manufactures down here, even NASA is down here.
#30 to #29 - neosword (12/31/2014) [-]
well it really sucks that you are getting so capitalized that's for sure :/ also the whole lagging behind the rest of the union is cute because i have never heard that anywhere else haha x) honestly in Florida we have way to many racists but they are mixed in, there are no drawn lines.
