 Well, my bait detector is going off on this one but I'm going to answer anyway. I think it would be safe to assume that asking that to a beautiful woman who's beside you in the hospital right after you wake up from surgery would not be a strange thing. He's clearly still doped up from the anesthesia, and his brain is not functioning normally also. Buuuuut you're probably bait so you already know this, right? Okay yeah, I'm not usually around folks that are coming out of anesthesia so I didnt think about that, makes sense. Also I didnt mean the comment in the sjw way everyone has taken it it seems, I could hardly care less. I just found it strange and saw that nobody else had said anything about it so I did. Gosh the internet is so edgy  I woke up 2 hours earlier than I should have What a way to find out you're somewhat resistant to anesthetics , after a brain surgery (Was dosed for 4 hour in case of complications, but was only in surgery for just over an hour). I was actually fully cognitive, called my mum within 5 minutes and started discussing the proceedure. The morphine however, that shit made me float out of reality. I dunno, maybe I'm more resistant than I thought, because people are saying all kinds of crazy stuff, and I woke up and was just... Me, but in a lot of pain.  First time I woke up from anesthesia, I screamed aflac over and over again. That stuff is fun.  Seriously thought, you are not yourself when you first wake up. I was fucked up for a good hour after I woke up, but after that I was more myself, just really god damn tired and nauseous. #23 -

I had no inhibitions about what I said. To anyone. I just sort of babbled with complete honesty about everything until the drugs started to wear off. So no. A lot of Mississippians travel to Memphis daily (be it for work, shopping, entertainment, what-have-you; there's not much to do in North Mississippi) and a shitload of the athletes from Memphis end up going to Ole Miss. There are probably almost as many Ole Miss fans in Memphis as there are Memphis fans. | ||

 i'm learning japanese little-by-little (it's hard to learn a language without a teacher) and i can understand some latin based solely on its effect on modern english and a few other small details like the difference between ego and ergo  I'm hoping knowing Mandarin can help my Japanese. Latin, the main difference between it and English is that the meaning of individual words is not dictated by placement ("The boy loves the girl for the father" vs. "The father loves the boy for the girl") but by actual spelling and the ending of words. "Puer" is boy as a subject while "Puerum" is boy as a direct object. yeah, as far as grammar goes in latin, i can only guess whether something is singular or plural Hey, there's an excellent program for that, actually. You can get charts as well, but the program is also like a dictionary and it tells you the purpose of the word. Try typing in "puer ambulat", then try "boy walks" archives.nd.edu/words.html | ||

Jenisist (12/31/2014) [-] Depends where in the state you live, but overall its kinda crappy. I'm from the Gulf Coast, which is really the only place worth living in the state imo. The people here aren't like the stereotypical Mississippian you'd might think about. And we have beaches, but not white sand and blue water. The Mississippi sound is pretty dirty. So if you're thinking some tropical getaway well eh thats not it. But if you got a boat or are into fishing and stuff like that, its good for you.
Outside of the Coast the only other places worth living would be in a college town like Oxford or Starkville. And maybe Jackson the capitol would be worth living in, but I've only been through there so I cant tell you how it is round there.
Other than those places the state is just full of cows and country folks. So since there isn't really anything big in the state, it can be boring.

Go a couple hours north from the beaches though and you'll definitely find some.
The Gulf Coast really is different from the rest of the state. If we could we would succeed into the state of South Mississippi.

Which, being stuck in the past, you can imagine racial tensions are high. I've met some truly racist old white men in this state.
Then in the delta you got poverty, crime, and piss poor education. Its a shame, lots of talent has come to this state. But because we just dont have the money/resources, Mississippi lags behind the rest of the union.
The Coast is different though, because we have all sorts of different people down here. And we have income coming in all the time through the gaming business down here, and fishing. Also theres some big companies that have manufactures down here, even NASA is down here.
