If you're going to gain weight, you have to be taking in more calories than you're burning, this will mean putting on some fat, but what most people do is build the muscle mass that they want then burn any excess fat.

Working out it only 15% of the battle, the other 75% is diet.

I'm an ectomorph (same fast metabolism as you), and I was 125lbs @ 6ft tall January 1st 2010, been working out and dieting ever since. Now I have gained 25lbs of muscle and 5lbs of fat.

TL;DR - Eat more + lift more + get sore more = You'll grow bigtime

I have been working out for a year.
I have gained 44lbs (overall).
Getting big is about nutrition. You can't have bruce lee physique and then KEEP it AND get big.
You have to fatten up while simoultaneously working out and only when the desired size is reached -cut the fat. Meaning, you eat less, work out differently, get the definition.
NOONE has ever made pro bodybuilder without nutrition supplements or legal steroids.

I suggest you eat more eggs and meat and work out with bigger weights and less repetitions.
