I am not, I brought it up because the post we are commenting on specifically brought up this show with the statement "it's perfect" so then I pointed out the flaws I saw in the show. A completely relevant comment. I had no animosity or negative feelings but other people are clearly getting upset over nothing.

I didn't think you'd seen the finally because a lot of shit went down in the finally and a lot of stuff got resolved while you said not much important happened.

That old lady invented blood bending herself and Katara was the first person she ever taught. So Katara is the only blood bender at the time of the finale. That is what is in the show itself.

Most obviously, bloodbending was used to define characters and groups by not being used. It shows that waterbenders, despite being quite capable of simply splitting their enemies in half, don't do it because it's horrifically cruel. Really, they could just freeze firebenders blood on sight and probably win the war rather quickly, but that makes the unfair assumption that all firebenders are hell bent on the destruction of the other nations in this war that began over uniting the nations (har har politics right?). However, it was used by Katara (non-lethally) to get answers from a fire nation general while under intense rage. During this scene, Zuko stands by and lets her. He doesn't even look uncomfortable at the sight of it, even though he is actively trying to become a righteous individual to undo the damage his troubled past. From this we can infer he is either unwilling to stand up for the humane treatment of war criminals or he is unwilling to get in Kataras way of trying to avenge her mother.

That lady invented blood bending, so katara was the only one who knew it in the finale, it is not reflective of the water benders as a whole (also has nothing to do with if i watched the finale, that is about thinking into the implied characteristics).

Well the commandment to the people of Chrsit was to "go forth to all corners of the earth" in order to spread the gospel. Also Jesus did not condemn people or berate and cast out but He went to them and told them about His faith and His God. It is imperative to talk to people about it. Don't throw it in their faces or present it in an ignorant or elitist fashion but you still have to tell them. The reason Azula was defeated by both Zuko and Katara was to prove that it couldn't be done alone. The bond between the two literally saved Zuko's life. Had he pursued it alone as he did before changing to the good side, he would have failed for sure.

I agree they could certainly have gone into more detail
and it seemed like they started more than they could finish,
but they would have been on a deadline to get the series concluded
and all things considered, I thought the ending was far from
disappointing. Especially considering the endings to some animes
I've seen. *cough* Soul Eater *cough*

Then add a season or create less things to wrap up in the finale that way the things already opened can be fully played out.
