How often do you see men complaining (or bragging) about getting random tit pics in their email, skype, facebook, text messages, snap chat?

How often do you see women complaining about getting random dick pics in their email, skype, facebook, text messages, snap chat.

Hell I'm not even are particularly attractive chick and for me to get one a fortnight is astounding, I can imagine what the hotter women in the world must go through.

"How often do you see men complaining (or bragging) about getting random tit pics in their email, skype, facebook, text messages, snap chat?"

Complaining? Never. Bragging? More often than you'd think.

"How often do you see women complaining about getting random dick pics in their email, skype, facebook, text messages, snap chat."

Claims? Once in a while. Verifiable claims? Never.

"Hell I'm not even are particularly attractive chick and for me to get one a fortnight is astounding, I can imagine what the hotter women in the world must go through."

Again, it would so easy for you to have just lied about that to prove your point. It's not an argument.
User avatar #40 - thirdjess (09/11/2014) [-]
Why are the mens brags verifiable and the womens complaints unverifiable? I'm not trying to argue I'm just saying it's not a double standard because each genders behavior on the matter is vastly different. And if you want proof, I'll tell you what. Next time I get sent a dickpic, I'll forward it to you.
User avatar #44 - HonkIfIDriveWell (09/11/2014) [-]
"Why are the mens brags verifiable and the womens complaints unverifiable?"

Because men will usually show the pics as part of the bragging.

"Next time I get sent a dickpic, I'll forward it to you."

You're offering to send me a dick pic? Pervert.
User avatar #45 - thirdjess (09/11/2014) [-]
You never told me which definition of pervert you're going by, by the way. Assuming you're going by the 'outwardly appreciates the human form' definition, I would say that for me to be a pervert in this scenario I'd have to be either sexually interested in you or attempting to get you sexually interesting in me. And if that's not the case with every single one of the dick pics I've ever received, then that's weird as fuck.
User avatar #52 - HonkIfIDriveWell (09/11/2014) [-]
Obviously I'm not sexually interested in you, but if you (or any woman) were to send me a vag pic, I wouldn't make out like I'd been wronged in some way, nor would most straight males. However, you seem to be claiming that you have been wronged because guys send you dick pics you didn't ask for. If that is true, and you are a victim, isn't that a double standard?
User avatar #54 - thirdjess (09/11/2014) [-]
See that's my point. It's not a double standard because we have entirely different attitudes about it. Historically, women are viewed as objects. Even now, when many many people claim the world doesn't need feminism, most women who are being hit on at a bar use 'I have a boyfriend' as an excuse because the dude won't take no for a fucking answer unless she is 'owned' by someone else.

When a man sends a woman a dick pic, culturally it is viewed as an aggressive move. That might not be the case for all men, but at least a lot of the ones who have to me got angry and aggressive when I didn't submit to them.

Culturally, when a woman sends a vag pic (which to be honest why would you, shit is ugly as fuck) it's not an 'I want to claim you' it's a 'you can have this if you want'.

When women send pics it's a gift, when men send pics it's a hunt. Again I'm not saying that is the case with all men and all women, definitely there are submissive men and aggressive women, but from a stereotypical cultural standard viewpoint that's where it lays.
#67 - jeitron (09/11/2014) [-]
Hearing things like this make me think that women generalize men even more than the other way around. If a guy doesn't get the message that she's not interested and keeps trying he's either oblivious or an asshole.

The saying "I already have a boyfriend" isn't used because women are seen as "objects or possessions" it's mostly used because it is a less offended way of rejecting someone.

As a guy I hate it too but in our society men are expected to be the proactive ones when it comes to startling relationships and women usually don't because they say it makes them look "desperate" or whatever other reasons. If more women weren't afraid to hit on men as often they'd hear "I already have a girlfriend" as well.

yeah, but the thing is this isn't because of society's "patriarchal" nature it's basically human nature and if you ask me the idea of nudes is just stupid.
User avatar #68 - thirdjess (09/11/2014) [-]
There was actually this big up-n-up in the fem community recently about ditching the use of 'I have a boyfriend', I tend to try to reject them with 'oh I don't have my phone with me' or 'I stopped using facebook' but if they don't get the message I do pull out the I have a boyfriend. And in my experience it's not that they're oblivious it's that they just won't fucking quit until they feel like they're encroaching on another dudes territory.

I've literally at one point had a lovely older woman rescue me with a 'leave the poor girl alone, she's too intelligent for you!' when some guy on a bus wouldn't leave me the fuck alone.

And I hit on guys, but I've never gotten I have a girlfriend as an excuse (particularly because I'm not an idiot and don't flirt with men who have girlfriends)
#70 - jeitron (09/11/2014) [-]
So you have a bad experience of guys who just didn't get the message and were basically assholes but you assume that the reason why "I already have a boyfriend" is so effective is because they don't want to mess with another guy's girl? Pretty sure some douches don't care if a girl is already in a relationship but the "i have a boyfriend" just became the universal way of nicely saying it's not going to happen.

But I don't care either way since the women I've been with and my female friends are usually smarter about these situations, if a guy is nice(and not persistent like the ones you've mentioned) but they don't like him they know how to reject him nicely, if a guy is a persistent asshole they retort back to him like one instead of acting like they have a stick up their ass towards anyone with a Y-chromosome and scream "I don't want to fuck you!" to anyone within a 2 meter radius.
User avatar #71 - thirdjess (09/11/2014) [-]
I actually did that once, got cornered on a bus to a new years eve party and he kept trying to touch up on me, I just turned to him and said 'I'm not going to sleep with you tonight, ok?' His friends laughed at him and I think that's the reason he left me alone, more than anything.
#72 - jeitron (09/11/2014) [-]
In that case is obviously a douche, if someone is cornering you and they can see that they are clearly unconformable and not "paying hard to get" they are jsut a docuhebag, it's redundant to say but there are bad & good people of every category race, religion, ethnicity, orientation, etc but in this case where it's gender you clearly encounter some bad guys (it even worst since he had friends who were only watching instead of telling him to cut it out) .

I have a friend who've been in a few abusive relationships with women, sometimes physical abuse but most of the time it was emotional and they really screwed him up to the point where he became jaded about women for while to the point of wanted to literally away from them completely(he even felt uncomfortable around them at times), he eventually got better though and he with a nice person now..
User avatar #73 - thirdjess (09/11/2014) [-]
That's too bad about your friend.

Even still, all this is a bit moot because it's a cultural thing not a specific story thing. There will always be an exception to every rule but, from a very young age boys are painted blue and girls are painted pink. There is a cultural, stereotypical attitude and this is a good example of it.
User avatar #69 - thirdjess (09/11/2014) [-]

Do I really need to explain what the difference is between a guy sending dick pics to underage girls and people getting their iCloud accounts with naked pics in there hacked? What kind of fucking retard are you?

nobody said anything about underage girls though.

No, if a male celebrity sends his dick pic to a stranger he's a pervert. There were actually some dick picks with the fappening photo's, and nobody was calling that guy a pervert.
User avatar #75 - xXferaligatrXx (09/11/2014) [-]
a male sends a dicpic to someone he's a pervert

a female sends a titpic to someone she's doing that someone a favor

when it comes down to secting regardless of context the male almost always seen as the badguy and the woman is seen as a victim
#76 - philosophyxplain (09/11/2014) [-]
Sure, but that´s not what the point of the post is. The post is comparing the fappening to guys that got caught sending dick pics, which is nonsensical.
User avatar #77 - xXferaligatrXx (09/11/2014) [-]
no the point of the post is comparing the fappening to men who've had their nudes leaked
#78 - philosophyxplain (09/11/2014) [-]
The post implicitly refers to cases that got a lot of media attention; women's nude selfies leaks refers to the fappening, where photos were gotten through hacked iCloud accounts; dick pics leaks refers to several celebrities who for the biggest part either posted them on the internet themselves or sent them to someone who did, the most well-known case to a minor.

I agree that generally the attitude towards female nudity seems to be "awesome, she's hot" and towards men "ew, what a creep", which is kind of unfair but not really that big a deal for me. Ofcourse that's probably what the post also was trying to say, they just used a wrong example.
User avatar #26 - thirdjess (09/11/2014) [-]
Hi woman here.

How often do I get sent random dickpics and then virtually yelled at for not reciprocating? Once a fortnight, roughly. How often do I send titpics to anyone ever in my life? Once when I was fourteen and I regret it entirely, I'm now twenty.

This isn't a double standard, y'all are perverts.
User avatar #35 - sunnyday (09/11/2014) [-]
A few perverted guys send you pictures of their dicks and that means all of us are perverts.

Well look at all those girls in NSFW that post nudes all the time. They're probably sluts, which must mean all women are. Including you.

User avatar #39 - sunnyday (09/11/2014) [-]
Hyperbole or not, it's generalization. Using hyperbole as an excuse just makes you look like you're backing down.

The kind of logic you're using right now is the kind of logic every feminist uses.
User avatar #43 - thirdjess (09/11/2014) [-]
"You're using it as if you're backing down" what the fuck do I care if some random on the internet thinks I'm backing away from a fight, that is some seriously insecure behavior right there.
User avatar #42 - thirdjess (09/11/2014) [-]
Well I am a feminist but I don't hate men or whatever other garbage you probably assume of us, and I don't appreciate you using it as if it's an insult.
User avatar #48 - sunnyday (09/11/2014) [-]
>Using it as an insult

How am I doing that? If I were trying to insult you, I'd just straight up call you a dumb cunt, but I'm not a guy who needlessly flames. I'd rather keep this civilized and discuss this without getting into insults.

And assuming I assume feminists spout garbage? FemiNAZI's spout garbage. The men hating lesbians that tend to want to destroy men that make up a large amount of the feminist population. They spout garbage. But thus far, you've done nothing to make me assume you're on their level. For all I know you're a true feminist and you want real equality.
User avatar #49 - thirdjess (09/11/2014) [-]
Oh thank fucking god for you (zero sarcasm)

A majority of the time around here people use the 'you sound like a feminist' in the derogatory sense, my apologies for the misunderstanding
User avatar #50 - sunnyday (09/11/2014) [-]
You're welcome.

But I do agree a little with the other guy, above.

Using hyperboles in debates ain't clever. Other than that, I have nothing more to say.
User avatar #51 - thirdjess (09/11/2014) [-]
Eh, I'm not trying to be clever. I mean if I were in a debate class or a political debate with an audience and a specific goal I wouldn't use hyperbole, but in this case I'm sitting at my desk with a kilo of gummy worms.
User avatar #30 - HonkIfIDriveWell (09/11/2014) [-]
Maybe I'm being a little stringent, but I don't think a testimony from one female who could easily be lying is enough evidence to disprove double standards.

3. While filming, Dad "accidentally" nails for real with the metal tray (because he knows he'll never get a better opportunity to exact revenge for all the years of suffering she's subjected him to.

4. Awful bitch decides the footage looks even funnier this way and will get her more attention so she uploads it anyway.

Yeah he clocked her for real but she just assumed it was an accident. She probably started crying (for attention) and got all whiny/bitchy but got over it pretty fast when she realised that the video would be a whole lot funnier now.

If you don't, great! It means people are starting to leave that ignorance behind and that the people you know and hang out with are proper human beings. But believe me, there are still people with this kind of mentality. My dad for example stopped talking to my sister after she married a woman and expecting a child, I can only imagine what he thinks about trans people.

Well the reason why it's sometimes seen as offensive is because of its use in pornography. Typically "tranny" and "shemale" referred to transgender females in porn. If someone is okay with you calling them a tranny, feel free, though. There are some transgender people who don't mind it.
User avatar #96 - squeemonster (09/08/2014) [-]
It's like calling a chinese person a chink, it might sound funny but it's used depreciatively. For a long time people used gay to say something was either stupid, lame or feminine.
E.g: I don't like this game, it's gaaay. You like pop, lol gay.

The same happens for other terms like tranny. It could be a normal word but people usually use it when trying to offend like the word itself would offend.
E.g: Look at that tranny, ewww, freak.

Not really offended by it, but I'd rather not be called one because of its connotations. I'm not a pornstar.
User avatar #93 - HonkIfIDriveWell (09/08/2014) [-]
I don't understand those connotations. In Australia, we very often shorten words and add a "y" or "o" to the end because its easier to say. There doesn't have be a negative meaning behind it.

If you want to go to extremes, then yes. You're right about the definition. But just because something doesn't make you happy, that doesn't mean you're unhappy about it either. You can be indifferent to something and still use the exact same phrasing. If everything were as black and white as a positive and a negative at all times, then you would be correct. But, we both know things aren't that simple, and as such there is always a neutral ground between the two. Granted, a lot of that has to do with emotion, which is not exactly easy to convey through text, so I apologize if my direct meaning wasn't immediately clear.

Pretty much exactly that. How I imagined you saying that sentence was probably a lot bitchier then how you meant it to sound.

Except that clearly isn't what I meant in this particular instance. The very definition of "thrill" is a feeling of excitement. So, by saying i'm "not thrilled" by something means it doesn't excite me, therefor it doesn't interest me, not that it upsets me. Just because i'm not overly excited like everyone else on the planet doesn't mean I have a problem with it or i'm unhappy. And you're right, this has nothing to do with the invasion of her privacy. All I said was that she has naked pictures, and I don't care about them because she isn't attractive to me. Simple as that.
User avatar #180 - HonkIfIDriveWell (09/02/2014) [-]
I see what you're saying, but despite "thrill" meaning "excited", "thrilled" is a synonym of "happy" in normal contexts, which means that by extension "not thrilled" is synonymous with "unhappy" which is what I assumed you meant.

It's a simple misunderstanding. You used a combination of words that made me think you meant something other than you did.
