And most of the people it goes to are either disabled or old, while most of our actual defense expenditures are paid for with debt.
Not that this stopped the GOP from squandering billions of dollars of money we actually DO have on drug tests for welfare users that did nothing to prove that welfare users are mostly lazy degenerates.

Wait, you're losing me here. Floating wages = higher pay = no job loss, but raising the minimum wage = higher pay = job loss? The fact that Costco pays higher than the minimum proves that a floating wage can exist alongside the minimum wage, and the fact that Walmart, Meijer, McDonald's, and so many more refuse to do so themselves, proves that they wouldn't raise it because of the destruction of minimum wage. Nothing is stopping them from raising it only lowering it. Furthermore, where on god's green earth can you prove that the minimum wage caused the great depression, and not the total crash of the stock market, the massive decrease of production of wartime material, and banks going bankrupt?

I didn't say minimum wage caused the great depression, it hurt the recovery is what it did. Floating wages lead to more overall wealth in the society because more people have money to spend on things when they have a job. Raising the minimum wage makes businesses uncertain about whether or not they can afford their workers, so they cut back. They refuse to do so themselves because the price floor is in place. Another lovely result of price floors in markets. I'm done repeating myself to someone who clearly doesn't understand the economic principles of price floors and ceilings and how they almost always have the opposite effect of what they're intended for.
