As someone who has played both sports, I can assure you that American football is rougher and requires greater strategy than rugby. BTW I'm from England, where the intensity of rugby is played at a higher level than it would be in the states. See how that works?

false, football actually stops and goes plays are called, rugby is a tougher sport only because they where a significant amount less padding
