Granted, Jason's an animal onstage (and on the record if you listened to the bass tracks from ...AJFA), he's got melody, he's got power & speed but he isn't the virtuoso Cliff was

Nah but no disrespect, really. I love Cliff's Bass work, especially how he worked that overdrive (For whom the Bell tolls is actually my favourite Metallica Song)...but i kinda like Jason's onstage Persona better, and he also contributed some awesome bass melodies (like My Friend of Misery)...and you have to give the guy credit, because Metallica gave him hell (as they said it themselves many times)...they weren't exactly over Cliff and thus not particularly nice and fair to Jason.
But as I said this is just MY opinion and i dont wanna get in an argument over this.
