N. Korean citizen (05/06/2012) [-] That doesn't surprise or impress me, school isn't for everyone, there are good jobs you can get without an education. Most of the jobs you get with an education will only make 40k-70k a year which isn't that much. People talk about school as if you go there and become as rich as BIll Gates, but really all it does is open the variety of occupations you can choose from. I work at Frito Lay stacking boxes of chips and i make about the same as high school teachers (which takes a decent chunk of schooling) which is about 40-50k a year. Honestly, people will go to school, pay 80 thousand, and get a job that makes about average, while people who didn't could be making the same amount. Why should you pay so much to go to school, and get a job that isn't going to give you a shit ton of money? Schooling should be free in my opinion because we need teachers, doctors, police, ( yes we do need the cops despite all the hate they get), write, artist, etc. Sorry for long reply  #18
