110% correct, if you guys are interested Stephen Hawking talks a little about it in his documentary "Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking" and how that among other realistic things could wipe out Earth. Apophis is definitely up there. Most scientific analysis done predicts Apophis will miss Earth the first time around, but it is going to make a swing around (in 2036) and based off of how Earth's gravity affects it there is a change it will hit Earth on the way back.

More so that Apophis there this another asteroid that poses a greater risk to hit in 2088, "1950 DA", there is stuff on the web for it if you look it up.
