Not really, I do not just blindly follow anything.
I was once an atheist until I came to ponder.

The big bang is not really a fact, its a theory.
There are no pictures, you cannot test it and there is no way to tell if it ever happend.
But I assume you believe it happend?

Its like everything in science, a hypothesis. Something behind human capabilities cannot be tested, not by human science that is.

You assume gravity exists (a rough example), but you have no real way to test it.
You drop something on the ground, that doesn't mean it does exist.
You say its because it warps space, but you cannot see space at all.

And still, you assume its there because scientists say so.That is human logic.

Protons and neurons, these are what atoms are made up off, they can be observed.

My point. You see, I do not believe in a God only because a book wrote about it.
No, I search for facts.

Example, Matter cannot be created, nor destroyed. Where did it come from?
The big bang created us all, where did that come from (hurrrr where did God come from hururururrrr)
Everything in the universe, until we humans. Have been a chain of accidents. If 1 small thing didn't happen, whe wouldn't be here.

These things boggle my mind, and I THINK that somebody created the universe. Something thinking.

The fact we are not omnipotent, but limited to our human brains is the problem.
'Logic' is something you say to yourself, 'Logic' is different for everybody. You only think something is Logic when scientists can prove it.

i use the painting argument. not a strong argument in the case of scientific logic but a good philosophical thought starter and goes as follows: when you look at a painting you would not say "that's nice, but did anyone paint it?" when you see a painting, it is obvious someone imagined and subsequently created it. why then is it so hard for people to believe something or someone created the universe? on the same note, why the hell do people think they know everything about god like he or it is some physical manifestation rather than a metaphysical apparition? /rant

The big bang theory is that a huge explosion created the universe. Ofcourse, the explosion needed to come from somewhere.
It could not have created itself. ( A robot cannot assemble itself)
Where did it come from? nothingness?

Impossible since nothingness is really nothing, it has no energy values or really any feature.

Then how did it get there?
Thats where a creator comes in.

(AGAIN, I am annoyed because nobody really is discussing with an open mind, except you ofcourse.)

I like to use the "Unmoved mover" argument for that.

"Something that is in motion, must be moved by something. Something that is moving cannot move itself. So there must be an unmoved mover"

The unmoved mover would be God then.

And an endless chain is impossible. Because it has to start somewhere, doesn't matter how long it is, one would be the first.

True.. It wouldn't take long to the virus to spread ether.. but I just like imagine what I would do.. where I would go.. the feeling of freedom. helps kill some time when you're bored.

but I'm no conspiracy theorist.. or doomsday believer.. I'm not nuts ^_^

Yes, its true, I don't collect items anymore since there are like 1 billion right now and the point system is ****** up.

But I will keep the stuff I did collect, I spend hours refreshing.
So, sorry.

If you gave me a Green Thumb Sword, I could probably merch it for a red thumb sword for myself, giving me more items! ;P

But, I'll actually trade for it, if you'd like.
User avatar #32 to #30 - Giganova (09/09/2012) [-]

#33 to #32 - ishmari (09/09/2012) [-]
