It depends how you look at him. A lot of republicans thought he was a great president, but he did a lot of left wing shit to make them mad (like banning the sale of automatic firearms to people without permits). Democrats obviously wouldn't be very fond of him for being a republican, no matter what he did in office. it swings either way. And he survived an assassination attempt. So somebody didn't like him more than the rest of the US.

I'm a Dem and there are a few Republican Presidents I think were good Presidents. Abe Lincoln of course, Theodore Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, and believe it or not Richard Nixon if you take away his Watergate scandal I think he was a good President.

That's fair enough. I guess I shouldn't say all Dems would hate them, but certainly some people are just irrational no matter what party they support. I lean towards republican, but it's not like the candidates are gods or anything. I can think for myself. There are certainly a few Dems that I thought did good jobs. JFK is a big one. its too bad his time was cut short.

I call myself a Dem but I'm not a hard core one I support a few conservative opinions the only reason I consider my self a Dem is because I support Universal Health Care, and some social welfare programs like college assistance, and housing subsidies for low income families, but outside of that I'm pretty conservative myself I hate people who abuse food stamps, and welfare so they can sit on their ass all day. I'm pro-gun so I don't get too upset if a republican becomes President. Infact the last Dem I liked was Clinton. I don't like Obama I wish we would've elected Hilary in 08 instead of him

You and I have pretty similar views. I like some of the programs like college assistance. I think the universal healthcare would backfire terribly, since 1 in 3 children today will develop diabetes at some point in there lifetime. I think you can see how costly that would be. However, you'd sure think something would be done about the epidemic as it is. I'm also pro-gun, but I'm not going to force guns on people. I agree that Obama isn't doing a very good job either.

I hear that I was heading down that road and I can't be bothered with the gym I just hate it so much. So I sold my car and just walk or ride a bike everywhere now. I live in a city so it's not that bad, but I really don't think it is the fault of the American population that we are so fat. I think it is the shitty food that we are so accustomed to eating I live abroad now in China now and the food here is not the same processed shit we eat and they use way less sugar and salt in their food. I eat here and I feel full. I eat in America and I feel like I need to go into a mini food coma.

That last part was funny because my username is coma. But yes, I think more needs to be done so we aren't slowly being poisoned by processed foods. Of course we could probably put in some effort ourselves to be healthier, but the government should be taking care of it's people too. I live in a small town in WI. If I didn't, I'd be more than happy to walk where I need to go and stay a little more in shape. I'm certainly not the most fit person out there.
