the translation is gibberish, so the song's meaning must be translated by a Korean speaking person. how many people know the actual meaning behind Oppa Gangnam Style? very fucking few.

plus, in my opinion, the song sucks. it's not catchy, it's just a crappy pop tune with no musical direction. Just another commercial song.


"assimilated into international culture?" not really. it's called 'bandwagoning,' and it will lose popularity very quickly, in fact, it already has begun to do so. where I live, the song has completely vanished, just like Kony 2012 and other bandwagons.
