I like that list. I've always wanted to get into Godzilla movies.
#41 - C'thulu isn't that big, probably similar in size to 2014 Godzilla.  [+] (7 new replies) 05/15/2014 on Monster Sizes +6

According to Wikipedia, Cthulhu is "hundreds of meters tall." If he was 100m, that would make it 328 feet, or just a little shorter than 2014 Godzilla. However, >hundreds< usually implies somewhere between 100 and 999. Let's go middle of the road and say it's 500m. That puts it around 1600 feet, or four times bigger than the biggest thing on this chart.

Also, it's an extra-dimensional, elder cosmic entity that does not conform to Euclidean geometry and can change its shape at will.

A Celestial is from the Marvel universe-- apparently, they're responsible for every humanoid species in the universe that can use some sort of unnatural ability outside of the norm, like magicians, mutants, and the like. Basically, they're Space God.

That's strange, I thought C'thulu moving was compared to seeing a mountain stumble.

why is Alfred so mad at superman anyways?
User avatar #19 - fakefalsofake (05/16/2014) [-]
Well in this case if don't want to read the comic MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT Superman went mad (after joker killed Louis, I think) and started killing joker and some heroes. Superman started invading countries to put order in the planet, Bats disagree with Superman's way. They fight hand to hand and batman lost, after that Alfred got temporary superpowers by pills to kick Superman's ass THE END there is a ongoing volume 2, worth the read

If you live in an area where death comes daily and there's not much to do that hasn't been bombed, you either go stir crazy or fuck around lightly with the troops in your area

As an Arkansan, I have never heard anyone clap at the end of a movie.
Where are you to hear stuff like that?
User avatar #28 - Fuzzymarsupial (04/28/2014) [-]
These days mostly hear it from other people, haven't heard it around here (Wisconsin) since Revenge of the Sith came out.
User avatar #13 - yunoavailable (04/28/2014) [-]
I have never heard of clapping at the end of a movie and I live in indiana. although that could be partly because I never go to movies when they first come out or anything
User avatar #17 - Fuzzymarsupial (04/28/2014) [-]
Last time I saw it happen personally was when Yoda cut off the clone trooper's heads in Revenge of the Sith. May depend on the neighborhood you live in though, like I read a story of another guy who was at the Avengers premiere and after Cap said, "Theres only one God ma'm, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that." a large portion of the stood up and started clapping while someone yelled, "Aw lawdy tell it like it iz Cap'n." Was probably fake or over-exaggerated, but some people still get enthused over yee ol' silver screen.
User avatar #41 - yunoavailable (04/28/2014) [-]

You seem to have some FJ points, which are used in the FJ collecting game and nothing else,
if you're willing to give them away just click this link: www.funnyjunk.com/items/4236130#4236130
and click the (T) next to my name. Send them using the arrow next to the points.
Note that they will not affect your thumbs in anyway.

Sure, I'd be willing to trade away most anything (except presidents) in exchange for Theodore Roosevelt and/or Nixon.
