Thanks. I'm pretty sure that the church also gives christianity and religion in general a bad name. Burning scientists in gallileo's time (i think for believing that the earth revolves around the sun), I heard about the pope covering up for a pedo priest or something like that.

I'm pretty sure that nowhere in the bible is this tolerated -_-

Unfortunately, that's extremely wishful thinking.

The problem is, the media. People want an excuse to hate, someone to direct their anger towards, and the media are excellent at helping them achieve this. They would simply show the extremists of the religion, without showing the vast amount of good which far outweighs the evil of the extremists.

Also, I think I mentioned before in the other thread, this is not just the media who do this. The extremists themselves do this. Someone who appears to be a religious leader would brainwash people into hating, and making them think that what they would be doing by their acts of terror is 'protecting the religion' or some other bullshit. So then they'd blindly follow him.
