Many muslims acknowledge it and do not follow because they know it's wrong and causes the religion to contradict itself, and other muslims ignore or don't actually know about it, but when it comes to Al Queada and stuff, that's not misinterpreting the Quran. I understand what you are saying about Islam at it's core being something meant as peace, but due to it's Holy Book, it's far from it.  #64

Zarke (02/14/2013) [-] You know, there's some pretty fucked up shit in the Bible too, but the core beliefs are generally seen as being kind've OK, what with the "don't kill eachother", "don't be a greedy dick", and "treat thy neighbour as you would yourself" stuff. A lot of these holy books contain collections of stories and quotes by various mortal men who may or may not have been the product of their times. The point is interpretation. What in these books do you believe is the real will of the religion?  #38
