it was different, but the execution left a bad taste in my mouth part 6 is still my favourite, with 7 far behind, sadly. part 6 was the first time I read a manga and got chills down my spine as emporio got out of made in heaven and seen all of his friends pick him up. I really cant wait to see everybody in jojolion, like Irene. Maybe we will even get to hear from emporio and he could sound crazy that he came from a different universe.

but with part 7, the battle was cool and all, valentine was awesome, and gyro went out like a bad ass, that was all great. Dio v2 was so awesome and surprised the hell out of me. I was so happy to see that. But what made me upset was the disregard of johnny's stand. Especially when Dio noticed Johnny's stand move when he froze time. As soon as that happened I really thought I knew the next time Dio froze time Johnny would kick his **** . But no. Dio absolutely wrecked Johnny, disregarding what just happened with the stand moving. So that was pointless. I was really hoping Johnny would have won the race for Gyro. But nope. Dio went for the corpse, and I thought he had it. in my mind at the time was holy **** , dio is going to go to become president and now the bad guy will win. this gon b good. But dio gets wrecked and renders defeating johnny even more pointless. So here Dio died, johnny didnt win the race and the corpse part is sealed which is really friggin lame when they said it will be open in 80 years when friggin Araki ignored that part and made johnny end up getting it a couple years later for one task. I really thought the corpse part would come into play in part 8, after not being used for a long time. kind of being that mysterious power that is there. well. it could still happen but it wouldnt be the same. IMO And the boy gyro wanted to save died of a disease, which made gyro feel even more pointless Idk it could of been way better. It just felt empty.

my little brother and I read it together, he's 10 and and this was his first manga ever. I read the entire thing with him which was amazing, and I never really had these complaints until he brought them up, which I really agree with. I had high expectations, but he went in completely neutral to part 7 and I get what he means.

Also, I just realized that it's been months since the last time I read SBR

I don't think we're gonna be seeing much of Irene unfortunately because I have good reason to believe that the universe that Pucci created is an entirely different universe from parts 7 and 8.

Johnny tried his best against Diego V2, but was simply outsmarted. Remember, power isn't everything in Jojo's , it's about outsmarting your opponent. God damn The World showing up again was ******* cool .

And I thought it was fine that Johnny ended up not winning the race because the only reason he entered in the first place was because he thought Gyro could help him walk again, and he did end up achieving that at the end.

Unless he was getting some action as a 10 year old, I find it hard to believe that could have a 19 year old daughter.

I wouldnt consider that enough evidence to make it straight out not the same universe. the reason why araki wanted a new universe I assume would be to set up something later on. It would be pointless that araki would make a new universe if it wasnt to do that. I firmly believe we will get to see the old characters like 'Jolyne' even though she is not in the bloodline anymore from what we can tell. but things in this universe are drastically different, which may make you think that jotaro could have a child in any other way.
