That is fucking horseshit.
Quit applying to shit jobs, do some actual fucking LABOR. Construction companies are almost ALWAYS looking for grunt work. Like I said, I think you're just lazy and making stupid ass excuses. I'm done with this conversation. You should follow some of my advice,at least quit crying and playing a victim.

You need to stop being so aggressive about every little thing that isn't fitting to your standards. I don't know where the hell you live that's getting you jobs so easily, but I'd damn sure like to move out there if it means I'd be able to get some work that paid a little more. Construction isn't exactly a glorious job and there's no need for you to be acting so high-and-mighty just because you have a job doing it. Take yourself off your pedestal a little and stop acting like I'm someone that hasn't been trying to make something out of the little bits of chance I'm given, because I'm not just some lazy ass that sits around all day doing nothing. I try, my friends try, my family tries, my friends' families try, and they barely get anywhere.

Not everyone is just a waste of oxygen, like you seem to believe.

You're probably the kind of person who thinks you can get a job by just filling out an online application and then jerking off the rest of the day.
Try this, print the application, staple it to a resume, if you have one, go to the fucking place, and hand it to the one in charge, introduce yourself and make sure they know who you are.
You fucking lazy entitled types piss me off so god damn much.
User avatar #43 - Eiza (08/18/2014) [-]
Dude I've done that and that doesn't work either. In fact, I'm pretty sure all that did was make them a bit more irritated. I've called to regard the application, I've taken the resume and application in, I've filled the applications in on-site, none of it worked until I had someone put a good word in for me.

"Living a fortunate life because of lucl or family." That is such fucking horseshit you stupid whiney little cunt.
No, I know its probably hard for you to imagine but it is entirely possible to build a good life with your own effort. It's called working hard and building a network, I did landscaping from when I was 15 to 17. After that became less than sustainable I moved on to doing stucco for a guy I did landscaping with. When I realized that was a dead end I got an apprenticeship doing welding and pipefitting for a guy I did drywall for on the side of the stucco work. I haven't gone more than a month without work since I was 15 and it's because of what I worked for and what I did for myself. So when you say its because of luck or family, fuck you and your lazy whiney cunt self.
It is easy to get a job if you've worked and met people and buolt a good reputation for yourself, you just seem fucking lazy and careless. Grow the fuck up.
User avatar #42 - Eiza (08/18/2014) [-]
Dude you are so belligerent. I don't know where you lived that allowed you to do landscaping at 15 but around here that crap doesn't fly. You can't work here - the coast of Virginia - unless you're at least 16, and even then you have little luck getting a job because the only way to do so is to already know someone in the job you're trying to get into.

I got into Food Lion because my friend was there and got me in. He got the job because he had a ton of experience already. The jobs he had been in before that were the result of him knowing managers and workers of those jobs personally, and them doing the same thing.

Another of my friends applied to probably three times as many places as I did, and he only managed to get 3 interviews, and was fortunate enough to get a job at a small store making minimum wage and working only four hours at a time. He's been trying to get another job and has managed to get an interview at Domino's due to his girlfriend putting in a word for him.

If you don't know someone around here in order to get your foot in the door, it's hard as hell to get in. Once you have experience, you have a chance. I know multiple people with degrees from colleges and universities that haven't managed to land a job better than what I've got now.

Of course they were disappointed. You fucking gave up and quit, apparently because you felt like it wasn't enough for you.
I'd be disappointed too.
You only make $500 a month? You need to get another job, or two better jobs. Maybe you can't, you seem too unmotivated.
Grow up and straighten out. You sound pitiful.
#39 - Eiza (08/18/2014) [-]
I've applied to a little over a hundred different places around where I live - "around" meaning within 20 miles - and the only place that hired me was a Food Lion. I love stocking, it's just that the money is crap and it's not as easy to get a job as you make it out to be, since the only reason I got the Food Lion job is because my friend already worked there and basically bugged the crap out of his managers until they gave me the only interview I'd gotten out of all of those applications to various jobs.

Though it probably doesn't matter that you know that, since you're most likely either trying to be irritating or are living a fortunate life due to either luck or family. I didn't get that luxury and had to take out a large loan to get into school, which would have only grown over time and most likely would have resulted in me having a 20k+ debt rather than the 6k debt I have now due to even having a degree boasting little advantage over not having one - I'd probably just be stuck at Food Lion still, only with a $8.25/h pay instead of minimum wage.

I gave up on school because it was depressing and I had lost sight of my dream due to what I foresaw from it. Not just because I wasn't learning anything - though I really didn't. I paid over 6 grand to be taught things I already knew.

To be honest I'd really just like to walk across the country, maybe live in the wild for a bit, just live off the land and train physically for a while. That was my final plan if everything I dreamt of went to crap, but I can't do that either with the debt on me now. It would just get thrown on my parents. I'm not that selfish.
