I do enjoy the characters and the stories, and I do wish at times that they were real, but it's useless to dwell on that which cannot be achieved. Dreaming and wishing is good, it is wonderful, but to be enslaved by your impossible wants is a torment worse than any physical punishment. Sometimes I worry about the people who are truly enslaved to their emotions when it comes to this game.

It made me laugh, it made me cry, I was able to see some of myself in each character; but as much as I could wish that they were real people, that's all it will ever be - a wish. In this cruel world of ours, selfish wishes like that simply do not come true. I accepted that truth long before I read Katawa Shoujo, and it is a truth that will remain with me forever.
