This isn't the fixed verison, I should've mentioned that.

The fixed one will be done sometime tomorrow - It was quadruple the amount of polygons, and being rendered by a single 4GHz 8 core.

The sphere has correct downscaled dimensions, but the program wouldn't accept past five decimals so it's off about .005m

I can't give you the actual dimensions of the sphere because I made it a poly object instead of a model, but I know it was around 220cm in radius.
User avatar
#28 - Einsty (01/11/2015) [-]
6371 km - Earth's radius
8.850 km - Mt. Everest

8.839 cm is the everest height, more or less, this you have correct and so your scale is 1:100 000
Then the radius of the sphere should be 6371 cm. Yours 220 cm is about 30 times less.

Something is off. The earth looks flat from space. Maybe the radius of the sphere or its object scale is wrong.

It's still a bit extreme, though not as much as before. Double check your dimensions (radius x diameter etc.) Look on the pictures of mountain ranges and you will see that rarely any slope is steeper than 45° or 60° if the mountain is not yet eroded.
