A judge, apparently.

But at any rate, I think the point has been made yesterday well enough, though I appreciate the link. California, more like Commiefornia, amirite?

Personally I was never against gun registration until a newspaper in my state started publishing names and addresses of gun owners. Now if Violent Mike decides he wants to steal a gun, he has my address and can just wait until I'm not home to take it. Gun registration literally made it less safe for me to live in my home.
#193 - anon (12/28/2015) [-]
>Other things are registered so it's ok to register guns
We must register jews next since we register other things.
Nice lack of logic.

I'm pro registration but if a gun was used to kill someone and it's registered to you, then you are in the crosshairs no pun intended of the police
User avatar
#39 - lulzdealer (12/28/2015) [-]
The government knowing exactly who owns what guns has always ended badly. Canada use to have compulsory registration, and then nixed it because it did literally nothing to prevent crime and on top of that pissed a lot of people off.

Transportation is not a guaranteed right, the use of arms is. What any free adult keeps in his private residence is of no one's business, especially not the federal government's.
User avatar
#81 - vorarephilia (12/28/2015) [-]
i thought registering guns would help solve crimes at least. cops find a gun at the scene, they can look up the serial number and find out who it belongs to, and then go ask that person some very pointed questions.
User avatar
#102 - durkadurka (12/28/2015) [-]
I think they can do that already, but it's a bit more complicated. You could go to the manufacturer, figure out where the gun was sent and then who bought it.

At least this way the government doesn't have a database at its fingertips.

That whole rating system is going to bite China in the ass. It will even further close their population off from the Internet, and in a world where the internet is becoming more and more important it leaves their population in a bubble. Which severely hurts their international business.
I honestly can't see their government keeping that rating system for any more than 10 years.

For minor intersections, that seems like it would be smoother for traffic. But with the very limited idea of what "priority" means in your scenario it sounds like one side could get screwed at a major light. Again assuming that priority means one side has priority over all others, if that one has too much traffic then you could be left with one side just piling up way too much. 4-way stops are meant to provide a safe and fair unguided method for traffic at minor intersections, albeit a little slow.
User avatar
#37 - Einsty (12/28/2015) [-]
With the traffic being pretty dense wherever lights are, 4 way stop isn't an option. Priority designates the main road. If you stay on the main road, you don't need to give way. If you want to leave the main road, normal rules apply (give way to vehicles crossing your path from right at all times, and any oncoming vehicle if you turn left as well). Sometimes this does lead to a scenario you described, but in that case drivers usually let each other pass, because otherwise they would be dicks about it. But this rarely happens outside of merging intersections, where different rules apply (when traffic gets slow, vehicles simply alternate as if they were teeth in a zipper).

It's still a bit extreme, though not as much as before. Double check your dimensions (radius x diameter etc.) Look on the pictures of mountain ranges and you will see that rarely any slope is steeper than 45° or 60° if the mountain is not yet eroded.

This isn't the fixed verison, I should've mentioned that.

The fixed one will be done sometime tomorrow - It was quadruple the amount of polygons, and being rendered by a single 4GHz 8 core.
