Its funny because you say exactly but what he said has nothing to do with what you said.

Solar power by the way is by far not unstable, its very stable, it just takes a lot of space, and costs a lot of upfront capital. Most places, the sun shines 9 out of 10 days all day.

I don't think you understand wind power completely. They actually do a lot of research when preparing wind farm installation. You can't just put a wind farm anywhere. First of all the wind mills are so tall because it is much windier at higher altitudes, so even though you can't feel it on the ground it could be perfectly windy where you are. Also certain areas, land formations, and climates create more wind then others, so they aim for those.

On the downside though, it also cannot be too windy, and the windmills are designed o shut down when it is. If it is too windy out, it can spin the mill to fast and basically strip the turbine.

Sure These things cost upfront capital, but virtually no cost over time and no cost for the environment. The cost is about on par or cheaper than any other energy installation you would build with the only downside being the amount of space it would take up. Also technology for both is improving all the time.

The problem is with wind power that the power those white windmill thingies generate can't be stored, otherwise one of them could support a smaller village.

Take two spoonfuls of something. That's a fluid ounce.

It's easier and more practical than saying 30 mL when dealing with every day measurements.

And imperial units aren't defined by metric units. There's a conversion factor in the modern day for practicality, but imperial units were designed before the metric system even existed. A foot is called a foot because it's a measure of somebody's foot. Something that's so easy to visualize a 5 year old can understand it. It was never a discrete measure of distance until it was defined as such, but the imperial system is scarcely used for discrete measurements.

Most people say "about a foot" or "about a mile" or "about a cup" etc. They're not dealing with discrete numbers, they're dealing with perceived amount, and imperial units are much easier to deal with, whether that be because of tradition or some other reason.

30ml is a nice ammount, and teaspoons vary in volume.

Metric system was redefined over and over, the transitions from physical etalons is pretty recent.

A person's foot can have anything between 20 and 50 cm, I can't see how that's accurate in any way besides hiting the broad side of the barn.

It's still a bit extreme, though not as much as before. Double check your dimensions (radius x diameter etc.) Look on the pictures of mountain ranges and you will see that rarely any slope is steeper than 45° or 60° if the mountain is not yet eroded.

This isn't the fixed verison, I should've mentioned that.

The fixed one will be done sometime tomorrow - It was quadruple the amount of polygons, and being rendered by a single 4GHz 8 core.
