Would that give you some sort of record or would it just be them going "hey cut that shit out also we told on you."

If you're doing a bunch of illegal shit, they'll stack that on, but if it's your only offense and you're not a repeater, they'll let it slide. Unless the cop's a hard-ass.
#54 - fresighto (09/29/2014) [-]
Mostly cut that shit out. They usually won't actually charge you Minor In Possession unless its not the first time. Or you're being a cunt.

Were you using B or were you using RT? If you're using the latter you're bad and should feel bad.
User avatar #177 - jvizzlez (09/30/2014) [-]
RT lunges much farther, so it's great for initiation with unsuspecting players. B is better at everything else though, yeah.
User avatar #178 - sptnfouroneseven (09/30/2014) [-]
As someone who was in a lot of sword duels, either with friends or on actual matches. Yes I know, RT was for the initial hit, and if they weren't fast enough, or paying attention they were dead. B was melee and was straight up broken on whoever hit it faster usually. Or could out-manuever their opponent. Friends and I had a joke between us about my B button being broken because I lost duels against them when it was mostly my positioning.
I played a LOT of Halo 3.
User avatar #180 - jvizzlez (09/30/2014) [-]
I played halo 3 pretty much every day, 5-6 hours a day about as much as I play tf2 now ... I initially had no interest in sword battles, but when grifball became an official thing, it was one of my favorite modes. Gravity hammers were crazy when used correctly, but holy hell the swords were so much funner, with a much higher skill ceiling too.
User avatar #182 - sptnfouroneseven (09/30/2014) [-]
I used to play from the time I got home around 2:30ish till 10:30ish. Depending on when I ate and how long it took. Friends and I were always either doing SWAT, Team Slayer, Multi-Team, or if it was just my best friend and I playing, we'd do doubles and wreck face. Always ended up with 12/13 kills each per game, while the other team only had 10 total. We memorized every. Single. Spawn. Player, weapon, and vehicle. Best map we had was Blackout. Depending on which side we'd start, would dictate where we went. If we started sword side, we'd drop down, I'd get the sword and switch back to AR(Swapped pistol) and both go for bottom mid, toss a nade down the hole to weaken, or kill(If we both did it) anyone down there, I'd switch the sword for shotgun, and grab a BR. We'd take lift up, he'd either already have one or grab one on the platform, BR that is, and we'd head to sniper. And generally just rotate around. On the one bridge map, we literally did a circle around the entire thing with BRs and maulers, getting across the gap pretty much right as the enemy team spawned up. We were fucking efficient at that game.
User avatar #183 - jvizzlez (09/30/2014) [-]
I never really had routines for specifics maps, although I DID know where everything was. Well, actually, in Heavy maps, I'd always be the one rushing scorpions and gauss turrets, but that's about it. Everything else, nothing but BR and magnums (dual magnums with no bloom in H3 was the shit). I loved pretty much all of the maps except for cold storage... but my favorites would have to be:
1. Valhalla. Definitely valhalla.
2. Standoff
3. Sandtrap
4. Sandbox (for custom gamemodes)
5. Last Resort
6. High Ground
7. Isolation
.... needless to say, I loved every map. I would play a shitton of modes too, whether ranked or not, and loved them all as well. Multi-team and BTB that's what it was called, right? were my favorites. When Reach came around, I switched mostly to just Invasion and SWAT, for some reason. I would play the occasional Hemorrhage or Paradiso too.
User avatar #184 - sptnfouroneseven (09/30/2014) [-]
Sandtrap was glorious, Blackout/Guardian were the best maps. Valhalla had banshees so you know, fav'd already. Last Resort was pretty fun as well. When we did BTB, we usually were the guys in either choppers, ghosts, tanks, or hogs making laps and just generally fucking people up. I remember in one game, I jumped into a banshee on Valhalla, took out the enemy's banshee in the first few seconds, and then continued to get a Running Riot in the first 5 minutes of the game. And then lol our way to victory. We also, when doing multiple people in a vehicle, such as a Warthog, had specific places. I was always gunner, friend Jeff was always driver(Was the best out of us) and the extra was the side guy, we usually did this for objective games like CTF or Assault. Jeff was also a brilliant sniper when he could get to a vantage point, not to say we couldn't compete but he was by far the most skilled with it, and I came in close second, but I was very much a jack of all trades type of guy.

I could go on for hours about the shenanigans we got up to, and different things that happened in games to us, or just me in specific. My entire career of Halo 3, however, is lost to time with my original gamertag, and I miss it dearly.

Sounds like you had a ton of all-nighters... H3 was my inception into competitive gaming, really. With the ranked matchmaking (which was barely a thing prior to then), I began to actually fight people on my skill level, and, naturally, I wanted to one-up them as well. I never turned into a Str8 Rippin player, but I'd like to think I was decent. Playing for hours and hours on end... oh, fuck it lets just make this reference already www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vhTOHZSErM

Watching Anoj's top ten series every week was such a joy, everything was so damn great... and it just kind of died out after a while for some reason. Halo Reach came, same story. Played for about a year or two, then I was done. Now I'm on to TF2, and goddamn I don't think I'll ever give it up. I've held 3 different accounts over the years, and have been playing for at least 5-6 years by now, and it just keeps getting funner and funner for me. eXtelevision is the new Anoj. Niichts (STAR), Jerma, Maelaa, stabby, TFTools, the list could go on. I only wish Halo 3 could have a revival on the PC gaben pls , and have it compete with TF2 like CoD4 did back in the day I still remember arguing with kids about whether or not Halo was better than Call of Duty

Surprisingly, rarely did we go past about 2:30 AM, even on weekends. We got our fill of all day playing though and went to bed satisfied. I Sadly never reached General rank, was always stuck around Major because of the exp/ranking system conflicted with eachother. And I may have had to leave a few games as well, so penalties were abundant. I didn't play a lot of Reach, I think I'm sitting at Captain right now and just haven't touched it in a while, since I wanted to play it more than anything on my main account which was lost. Doesn't feel the same, you know? And my friends and I always joked about joining up into MLG and just simple tournaments around the area. But we never did, we were good but not professionals. Sometimes though, I wish we had atleast done some tournaments. Could've gotten some good cash out of them.
