- It's obvious that you and your computer like to live on the edge
- Starting out in the Sarranid Sultanate area in the Floris mod …
Swadia master race.
Rhodoks > Swadia
lolnope, dat Swadian cav.
can't even get close to my phalanx of spears ayy lmao
>implying the AI is smart enough to use phalanxes
>implying Swadian cav charges aren't better against the AI than Rhodok spear walls
lmao, you mean you've only fought AI's?
talk to me when you've played Commander Mode in multiplayer
There isn't exactly a campaign with Swadia and Rhodoks in multiplayer, is there?
it's called custom battles but you command your army
Really? I wasn't aware that existed.

>New to Pathfinder
>Playing a Society game
more organized, not a full campaign, short adventures, character keeps experience and gold from the game and moves to other ones with it
>Since I'm new, go with a pregen
>Entire game, nothing but shit rolls
>Giant skunks, try to tame
>Fail and end up smelling like shit
>Bush ahead, perception check
>Fail, party almost ends up dying inside razor sharp bush
>Get to the end
>Demonic halfling dude summons undead black dragon
>Entire party thinks the tiny dismembered hands are more important
>My crossbow is useless against dragon, charge in with axe
>Thanks to amazing rolls, dodge it's 3 attacks per round
>Slice to bits with battleaxe
It's not an amazing story, but it was my first game and I enjoyed it. There's also the time when my group's cleric tried to kill us all. Only other story I have that's somewhat worth hearing.
>Level 1 Campaign DM'd by my brother.
>Rest of the Group is squishy rogue, wizard, cleric; so I go Paladin
>Not your L"Aweful Goo"d normal Paladin, but a Paladin of SLAUGHTER.
>Chaotic Evil, not allowed to acknowledge authority that can't prove its strength.
>Investigating source of diseased water in a remote village.
>Make way to a mine near the river source
>Find kobolds, proceed to slaugher through them.
>Kobolds run down passage, hide behind cover
>Room smells like oil and grain dust.
>Kobolds throw torch at me, it ignites the grain dust and oil on the floor, leading to a blistering inferno between me and the Kobolds
>I spend two turns pacing while my teammates fling a couple spells and arrows with no success.
>Charge through the flames, oil filled lantern falls on me
>Survive the fire, keep moving
>charge out of the inferno in spiked armor, screaming a war cry like a madman, wielding a two bladed sword.
>Kobolds piss themselves
>I kill two kobolds off the bat, and the other three are trapped between the end of the hall and me.
>The kobolds try to kill me, and end up dead.
>I extinguish myself, and march back through the flames to the other side.
>Use Lay-On-Hands to heal my wounds.
>Make level 2.
>new lvl 1 campaign
>experiment with a Necromancer character
>game starts up
>on a ship, locked up
>by the time I get out of my bindings, everyone else is already fighting outside
>gradually valuing the life of my character less and less
>make a deal with DM
>roll d20 for the rest of the encounter
>roll a 0, blow up and die
>not roll a 0, finish charging and fire my mega attack to get out
>one encounter later
>no critical fails
>"IMMA FIRIN' MAH LAZOR!"
And that's how the Demon's Corpse Cannon was born.
>Opponent uses a card to flip my card face-down
>opponent picks up card to check defense points on it
>call a judge for him cheating
>I get in trouble for wasting a judge's time
>he's allowed to check my card since it's "public knowledge"
if it started face up I fail to see how it would not be considered public knowledge
The only way it would be considered public knowledge is if it was special summoned from the grave
Is that a specific rule? I know in Warhammer there are rules that are followed that are not explicitly said but are used to increase an ease of use. I mean if it was already up at one point then it would have been public knowledge at that point right?
It is. Anything that is brought back from the grave becomes public knowledge, regardless of where it's at. For example, if you use a card to put a card from your grave in to your hand, your opponent can ask at any time what card you added.
Well does it say that a card forced to the down position is considered public knowledge or is that assumed?
It's assumed. It's basically all depending on the players. Few players actually enforce it because they know it's partially their responsibility to check the cards stats before using a card effect on it. But others are dicks about it
Well at a tourney you should ask a rule judge before hand I guess, in my experience when you go to a tourney you go to win and rule lawyering is expected.
Yeah pretty much. I hate people who do that too.
Well there is a difference between a friendly game and a tourney one. When I play fantasy at a tourney I follow the rules to the letter and expect other to do the same, skipped you magic phase? tough shit, forgot to nominate all your charges? tough shit, meant to move a unit but forgot to? tough shit. I pay to play at a tournament I dont tolerate amateurs or stupid mistakes but when I am playing for fun I dont care as much and will let you fix your mistakes and even give you pointers.
