I agree that public schools are biased as shit when it comes to this kind of stuff, and yes, he held the union over the idea of ending slavery, but in the end he was still against it.

No, those are gains. It's increasing the muscle mass.

There is no such thing as "building muscle" per se, since we each have the same muscles.
However, being toned means cutting down on the body fat AND actually toning/strenghtening the muscles, without necessarily increasing their mass.

Because it's an essential service. They know that no matter how expensive they make it you'll still pay because you NEED their service.

That's why I think a two tier system is best.

Have a public system that is funded through taxes and a private system for folks who want to pay for better service. In order to prevent a talent drain from the public sector, mandate that doctors must spend xx hours per year in the public sector. That's how they do it in Australia.
