Essentially, a lot more theoretical classroom stuff than I was expecting. But that was sandwiched by pushups, crunches, or whatever else the instructors had in mind.

Yeah... it's a problem for me. I'd say I try to work on it, but I honestly don't, and I try not to lie on principle. To be fair, I was essentially cutoff from all outside contact for two months this summer.

Only finished Sachi's route; which was emotional but not overly heart wrenching. Yumiko's I'm going to try and do in one fell swoop this weekend or early next week.

Way darker than I was expecting it to be... like, waaaaaay darker. I've got my last final today, so once that's done I plan on finishing it either tonight or tomorrow.

I doubt that anybody expected it to be that dark, especially considering how she was portrayed in the common route

Well, bad ending, to be fair. Good end was pretty great too though.

Should I do the good end or the bad end first? I think I'm one choice away from that point.

Her bad end can quite probably hit you harder than Amane's good end. So take that how you will.

Well... good thing I don't have to worry about my academic performance being hindered because of it. Let's get the bad over with, like a bandaid right? An emotionally debilitating band-aid from hell.

I just wanna point out now though, pay attention to the details in her eyes when she's happy before making the choice, and then pay attention to them again after picking the bad end. Specifically, when she comes back.

I don't think there was a single thing in it that doesn't take one's heart and smashes it. Makes me depressed just thinking back on it.

I just... man, I never thought that a fictional character would be able to utterly destroy my emotions like that.

It's sad because I feel like I'm cheating the character when I do a different route. Like when I started Michiru's I kept thinking, "well, Amane's only hope was Yuuji and now I'm shutting her out, what the hell's gonna happen to her?". As long as I can get over that with Michiru and Yumiko it should be alright though. It's kinda funny, the first time Yuuji met Yumiko I instantly thought, "I'm gonna dominate the hell out of this pyscho's route"

Amane turns out perfectly fine in Yumiko's, she shows up temporarily in the bad end, and she's working at her family's restaurant again.

Why am I not surprised... I don't think I would expect her to show up to do anything else to be perfectly honest.

Plus, ya gotta admit that very end scene was pretty cute.

It was, it really really was. And I guess that's what got me the most, contrasting it with the bad end and all. To be perfectly honest, I think the good end has had a more profound impact on me BECAUSE I did the bad end first.

Well at least both of Yumiko's endings aren't as strong as Michiru's. Quite possibly one of the happiest good ends in the VN.

I look forward to it, but until then i'm going to have to reach an emotional state of being where my heart doesn't sink into my shoes each time I see Michiru's name.

Well luckily for you, Michiru doesn't show up that much in Yumiko's.

My computer started spazzing out on me last night and I couldn't play it. Just got it back but I have to transfer everything back onto it. I'll get to it tomorrow.

It does, the counter says 5 hours left until it's done... all the updates, microsoft office in it's entirety, and pretty much everything but the bare bones software was wiped when they defaulted it back to factory specs.

Pray that your Grisaia save data was backed up then.

I made sure it was, I have delegated folder in my external HD for VN's. No way I would let them wipe it without having absolutely EVERYTHING on backup.

It doesn't end... it just keeps going, and going, and going, and going...

Heh. This is why I say it's best to do Amane last to people who ask for the order. It just goes on, and on, and on, and on yeah.

All ********** aside, it took me over 24 hours to do her whole route, and I'm a fast reader.

I can see why, I'd rather save the best for last though.

It's just sooooo much talking and reading. The way Yuuji talks too... it takes him literal hours to get a single idea across, and sometimes it doesn't even do anything for the story. It's kinda like "so after several hours of trying to find sourdough bread in town, I came to the conclusion that dogs CAN be brown sometimes," and we never hear about it again.

That being said, I really like the detail work and story building, there isn't really any stone left unturned.

I literally just got to it. Haven't really delved to deep into it yet, if at all though.

Then you have just boarded Mr Bones Wild Ride.

Not only is reading it all suffering for the reader, it's suffering for the girls in that part because of what they go through.

This sounds like it's going to be a very... interesting part of the story.

It is. If you can stand it being even slower than the leadup to it

I tend to speed read a lot of it, but either way it shouldn't be a problem. I've gotten used to recognizing and ignoring the filler that doesn't contribute much to the actual story.

Then you may as well just read the character intros in it, then skip straight to around day 12 of it.

Also, just so ya know, all of her route before her past is only 5 scenes. Each day in her past is a scene, so that's about 16 scenes you'd have to go through

No... I had a final today that I was studying for pretty hard. I'm going to spend tonight and tomorrow playing through it.

I played a little bit of it (which so far I've been really into), but I've been having problems with Parallels so I'm going to drive home this weekend and get my PC. Other than that, I found the slower pace surprisingly... calming.
