grasping at his head in agony, yelling at times random phrases, it's kinda trippy, since then necromorphs start swarming in and you're basically alone but with someone to protect. and honestly those missions made the game for me right off the bat

yes, those missions were great, the most unnerving thing about them is at one point while he heard his dead wife screaming through an audio log about how she was ripped apart by the necromorphs, all i heard on my side was an eerie teack of a woman laughing, looping over and over again

i know what you mean. i played the first time with a random partner and we became decent friends and even played other games like borderlands 2 and battlefield. and the second time im playing with a fellow Funny Junker and we are stating to bond. and also the nutcrackers didnt scare me as much as when carver is in his own little world and there are these things that are almost impossible to see and you have to kill them . ...i was flipping pretty hard. hahah

so was my buddy, having to guard him from necromorphs at that point was pretty hard when he's in the open, and it really exercises your ability to cover your partner, i'm best friends with the guy i played with and i feel as though the game made our bond stronger. through insanity and hell we fought on

quit honestly....I LOVED IT! i see where people are coming from when they say " o its not as scary" but thats not true. we are just accustomed to the game. the first one everything was brand new. you had to watch ever corner. Dead Space 2 you were familiar with the necros but you had to over come the dementia. which added a new element. And now it 3 it ties the whole story together in a big way and i personally loved how each game was different in a way
User avatar #67 - DingoJ (02/12/2013) [-]
the crafting system is amazing, isnt it? i went through my first play through with the negotiator electric gun on top and a ripper on the bottom, my secondary being the planet cracker plasma cutter and and a revolver on bottom, and with co-op everything can be enhanced so well, not to mention the chip system, which has you balance out what you really want in a weapon. the side missions with carver going insane were great (or so i heard since i'm isaac) and i loved the fact that you and your buddy are required to protect each other for puzzles or when carver's doing his own little inner trial. i wish they'd incorporated that into the actual storyline, but it was still amazing regardless...on an unrelated note, LOOK ME IN THE EYES AND TELL ME DANIK ISNT ELTON JOHN!

i quite enjoyed dead space 3, a lot of people are complaining but it's my favorite game of the series, what did you think?
User avatar #65 - thatrussianhoe (02/12/2013) [-]
quit honestly....I LOVED IT! i see where people are coming from when they say " o its not as scary" but thats not true. we are just accustomed to the game. the first one everything was brand new. you had to watch ever corner.
User avatar #68 - thatrussianhoe (02/12/2013) [-]
THATS WHO I WAS THINKING OF!! i knew he looked like some one but couldnt put my finger on it!. and ya i love the crafting and all the suits to. i also suggest you play it again in co op but as carver. thats who i played as and i loved it.
User avatar #71 - DingoJ (02/12/2013) [-]
i would but nutcrackers freak me out, it honestly scared my co-op partner at one point so bad when he turned a corner and there was one staring into his soul that he fired at it until i told him to calm down...which brings me to my favorite quote by him when we finished a carver mission "I want a Dylan gun, that fires dead children"...also the wasters we had the pleasure of calling "pants man" and were the bane of our existence early in the game...many seen enough hentai jokes were shared. in all honesty though i think my friend and i really bonded with that game, learned to play on our strengths and weaknesses to strategize weaponry and combat. we really got some closure with that co-op experience along with some trust gained...crazy right?
User avatar #73 - thehumor (02/12/2013) [-]
im sorry but i couldn't help but notice your guy's conversation on an awesome game. I was playing with my buddy and i was carver. I was seeing things that he couldn't. i saw large toy soldiers where he saw body bags. Presents scattered about. like some kind of demented birthday party. I loved it
User avatar #75 - DingoJ (02/12/2013) [-]
yes, those missions were great, the most unnerving thing about them is at one point while he heard his dead wife screaming through an audio log about how she was ripped apart by the necromorphs, all i heard on my side was an eerie teack of a woman laughing, looping over and over again
User avatar #77 - thehumor (02/12/2013) [-]
I loved when it began. Me and zach were playing and i saw a soldier. "haha what's with the soldier?" "what soldier?" "this one" "point to it" "right fucking here dude" "that's a coffin" No dude it's a fucking soldier with a fucking musket and everything" " whatever man" eventually we caught on but it was funny none the less
User avatar #78 - DingoJ (02/12/2013) [-]
see the birthday banners spelling out "daddy hates me"? kinda creepy in a sad way
User avatar #81 - thehumor (02/12/2013) [-]
it was sad. Eventually zach just asked me "ok what do you see?" every time i entered a room" the elevator scene with the walls changing and melting freaked me out
User avatar #84 - DingoJ (02/12/2013) [-]
then the transmissions "daddy, daddy where are you, daddy?" and i heard nothing, that was unnerving in the deep vacuum of space
User avatar #72 - thatrussianhoe (02/12/2013) [-]
i know what you mean. i played the first time with a random partner and we became decent friends and even played other games like borderlands 2 and battlefield. and the second time im playing with a fellow Funny Junker and we are stating to bond. and also the nutcrackers didnt scare me as much as when carver is in his own little world and there are these things that are almost impossible to see and you have to kill them . ...i was flipping pretty hard. hahah
User avatar #76 - DingoJ (02/12/2013) [-]
so was my buddy, having to guard him from necromorphs at that point was pretty hard when he's in the open, and it really exercises your ability to cover your partner, i'm best friends with the guy i played with and i feel as though the game made our bond stronger. through insanity and hell we fought on
User avatar #79 - thatrussianhoe (02/12/2013) [-]
i used to play with most of my best friends like that to but most got a pc and left me to play by myself on my ps3 but since FJ iv made many new friends. and i have a question. what is carver doing on isaac's screen when he is flipping out?
User avatar #82 - DingoJ (02/12/2013) [-]
grasping at his head in agony, yelling at times random phrases, it's kinda trippy, since then necromorphs start swarming in and you're basically alone but with someone to protect. and honestly those missions made the game for me right off the bat
User avatar #85 - thatrussianhoe (02/12/2013) [-]
ya i remember the first one of that i was so excited but my partner was screaming in terror and i could help but laugh
User avatar #86 - DingoJ (02/12/2013) [-]
it's kinda weird to watch him stumble and his health bar go down, and to tell the truth, it's my favorite game of this and last year, solid 9/10 at least...the story wasnt too bad but it couldve used some work
#87 - thatrussianhoe (02/12/2013) [-]
yes i do agree. and the end.....well i had a feel
User avatar #89 - DingoJ (02/12/2013) [-]
my favorite part was chapter 17 i think when carver says "i've come this far...that's enough for it to count, right?" feely feels man, best character development
User avatar #90 - thatrussianhoe (02/12/2013) [-]
that part got to me to. but i mean the part when he pulls out this picture of elli and then it floats away.......i lost it. i mean there is a line after the credits but i assume that he is gone and honestly.....no mater how much i loved isaac he has been threw a lot. The ishimura, the Sparwl and now this... he can rest now
User avatar #91 - DingoJ (02/12/2013) [-]

User avatar #94 - thatrussianhoe (02/12/2013) [-]
isaac is now up there with the games and characters i will remember forever. with Ezio, Rachet and clank, a few others but isaac is at the top

been busy, trying to get into game art and design for college, good news is i'm in, bad news is my comp failed (thanks obama) but when i get back i was thinking of writing eli's origin story, you know going through his quest to train all over acquiring different skills from different places, unless you'd rather i start over with a complete redesign from where i was, since ive improved since then, it's all up to my only fan XD
