He'd also be taking on a big fucking risk, I don't think you appreciate that fact one slight bit.
Whistleblowers like Edward Snowden and Thomas Drake have had their lives ruined for looking sideways at injustices done by the government and attempting to do something about it. Even now the media either completely suppresses their sacrifice (Drake) or has launched a misinformation campaign to make it seem like these people sold info to outside governments when they didn't (Snowden). And only a small minority of the American population even recognize these sacrifices for what they are.
It's even worse if he has a family, because then he's putting them at risk too and it's not just his own well-being he's sacrificing.

If anything, the reddit buffoonery is probably the best way to expose the problem because his higher-ups can't prove he had intent to expose the information. I kind of doubt this is the case, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was part of an act to get people to ask questions.

He is the messenger boy. His job is to make sure the system works to favor his client. Nothing more. You think he should get in trouble for hillary's messed up world? All he would do is say "No, I won't do that" and get fired and turn into another Snowden. Then, she would hire someone else to do it and nothing would change. You are essentially being tricked into focusing on him instead of hillary. He did nothing wrong, he signed a freaking form that says so. He was doing his job, and if you can't understand that I don't know how else to explain it to you. I probably wouldn't have done it, but if I did I would have it on my conscience, and nothing more. Hillary takes the blame legally for the action, not her IT guy. All you are doing is getting upset over a guy who is a snake and nothing more.

I believe it was the nuremberg trials (or something similar) where a lot of the nazi's were prosecuted for war crimes that set the precedence that, even if your job is to follow orders, if you follow illegal orders you are just as responsible as the person who gave them.

So, would he have lost his job by refusing? Yea probably. Would Killary have hired someone else to do it after that? Yea probably. Does that absolve him of responsibility for committing a crime? Nope.

Sometime you're faced with a decision that has no good outcome for you. In that case all you can do is take the option that fucks you over the least in the future. He didn't do that. He committed a crime. Just because he was ordered to commit that crime by someone else doesn't mean he is free from the legal consequences of what he did.

no contract can force you to do something illegal. such a contract would simply be invalid.
