I don't get your point, you're saying its repetitive, but it's all cool because other games are repetitive? In all honesty, I could barely tell which was CoD4, MW2 and MW3. It was pretty much the same in terms of pretty much everything. They just took the same engine and added different weapons, game modes, etc, but its really no different to what a few modders with some model design couldn't just bash out in a few weeks. I'm not saying CoD is bad or anything, but they sure as fuck shouldn't charge $60 for what's basically a large patch. In fact, Call of Duty's a pretty decent game, but they shouldn't price it as if its something grand-spanking-new. No game developer should.

My point is that everyone seems to only target CoD as being repetitive with no innovation. When there's plenty of other games out there that do the same thing! And they all charge $60! Why blame CoD for that one thing when so many other games do it as well? I don't see FIFA getting flak for that, and they don't even innovate most of the time. I'm not trying to justify that CoD has SOME innovation, because I agree its lacking severely in that department and that $60 is pretty damn steep for that price. I'm just angry that CoD has become the 'go to game' to blame for lack of innovation, when EA charges $60 PER sports game EVERY year for the SAME GAME.

I group CoD along with EA sport games as well. It's the same formula every year and is usually just a few modifications. I despise the EA sports franchise as much as any annual video game franchise (angry birds, Cod, battlefield, ect).

But don't group Mario Kart along with EA. Mario Kart comes out closer to every 5 years, Always has a set number of new courses and redone retro maps for fans, new items, always a new mechanic weather it being a new drift mechanic, flying, going underwater, two drivers to organize inventory, bikes, motion controls, or improved A.I. Not to mention when the make a mario kart it's always that one game for that one system so with each title it has completely new art which is a large portion of the game. So i guess I disagree.

There isn't a new Mario Kart released every year, only when a new system comes out. Every November, a new CoD comes out that is nearly a copy paste of the previous one. If a new Mario Kart came out every November then people would complain about that too. I never really liked sports games so I'm not gonna even bother trying to defend EA sports though.

Sure, the fact that there's 3-4 years between each release helps, but that doesn't change the fact that the latest game is very similar to the nearly 20-year-old original. The only real change has been the online componant

Still the fact is that there is only one Mario Kart per console while there are 6 different CoDs for the 360/PS3.

Sorry, ever since Halo Reach the game has been peer to peer.
And in Halo 4 the only way to actually betray in matchmaking is to run them over, you can't shoot the to death anymore, and the game can't always tell whether the betrayal was accidental or not.
The game is fun and it's not often you encounter a player that trash talks. I rarely come across anyone with a mic, and this new ordnance drop system make it to which people can't hog power weapons.

I'm not as familiar with Halo, but don't servers kick people who purposefully ruin the game? And I've rarely encountered such people who are willing to do such a thing beyond the trash-talking.
