I only pre-order when the the pre-order bonuses are really good.

Thinking about pre-ordering Infinite Warfare just for the remastered edition of Modern Warfare

To be fair, a lot of the times indie games couldn't exist if they didn't receive money before releasing anything.
Creating a good game takes time and money, supplying that money is just a risk you can take and which someone has to take for indie devs to get their business up and running.

For an indie developers first title, early access pre-order stuff makes sense.
It doesnt make sense from bigger companies on their x-th release to need that pre-sale money, unless they sold their accountants to buy more cocaine

Eh, thats why i never buy indie games before their atleast one years old and patched a lot. I dont want to end up buying a piece of crap like dayz.

Apparently Dayz is pretty good by now.
But I get your point.
