Cloudlessewe (04/11/2013) [-] BF 3's multiplayer was amazing. The SP campaign on the other hand... not so much. If BF4 is released with a more gripping campaign, and a multiplayer with the same style but with TONS of new features, i think it could turn out to be a pretty good game. #139

They can force the developers' hand in many cases, because the developers have no other alternative. EA just tries to get a slice of the cake by publishing games that come out several times through sequels; the Battlefield franchise, Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3, Dragon Age: Origins, II and III, FIFA and so forth. Of course it is the publishers' intent to earn money, but EA doesn't care and is indifferent to the game studios that they destroy along the way by downgrading their products through short development cycles, forced (day-1) DLC and desperate profit-making.  #107

I personally really like EA, dead space and battlefield are 2 of my favorite series, and it makes me mad when people see EA and wont even try the game, or instantly shit on it. I just dont see the point in getting all mad at a company, just my opinion anyway..and as long as DICE is making it, any battlefield game will be kickass  #73

ronyx (04/11/2013) [-] Not sure what you mean about the "storyline" DICE sucks ass writing a good SP campaign, leave that to Bioware. FYI publishers have a huge impact on what goes into the game and what doesn't since they're the ones injecting money into the game. Thus a lot of things get changed and a lot of features get dropped as to maximize profits, this is coming from an interview from a publisher. | ||
