Yeah. I saw one guy on /k/ says his Home Defense weapon is a S&W 29 with 300 grain hornady hollow points. So if he misses his attacker they will both just sit there with bleeding ears dazed until the police arrive.
Really if you dont want to KILL your ears with a HD firearm and not have to wear Ear Pro everywhere, you could use a 9mm or .380ACP, but its still going to do some damage and you will have ringing in your ears for acouple of days.

That is a plus, the uses of suppressors for civilian use really end there unless you really want one for hunting.

Yea kinda in a lot of places hunting with them is illegal which makes no fucking scene. But
imagine how load and how bad your ears will heart if you fire a gun inside your house for self defense, good reason to have one.
