I hear you. My prom date said to me "put out your hand" and one by one there was close to 50 bobby pins. I put them in my pocket and forgot about them. A week later my mom tells me the washing machine is broken.

Thanks! I'll give that a listen. As well as the Royal Blood album. Thank you for enlightening me, sir.

Also, Shoe's lead singer is with his band Bart now. Here's all they have at the moment.

Beauty School and Rocket Skates turned out to be my other favorites on Diamond Eyes.

Even though I haven't fully checked out Royal Blood, I am happy they're around to liven up the music scene. Lately, most of my hope for a new-ish band carrying the flag for rock has been Cage the Elephant, but they can't do it alone.

I've always been half and half with CtE. Some songs are great, some are just poop.

A band I was REALLY sad to see go, was Shoe/Follow By The Wayside. Dude, trust me, if you like Cage, you'll love this Trio. Here's a link to a playlist of all their stuff. Just click the playlist with 41 videos. Very unnoticed, but amazing. Friggin Australian badasses, man. I'd say start with the SHoE EP. It's 6 songs, one of which is the music video at the end of the playlist.

I remember when I first heard You've Seen the Butcher. I knew that I had to go out and get Diamond Eyes.

I've heard some of Royal Blood and I like what I've heard. Haven't given them much time, but I keep hearing great stuff about 'em, so I'm gonna get on that.

Oh man, I love that song. I'd say 976-Evil, Beauty School, and Risk were my favorites. Bassnectar has a pretty nice remix of Prince, if you're interested.

And yeah man, I'm so excited for more Royal Blood, they have a bright future in music. Best part is, it's just the drummer and bassist. But the bassist uses an octave effect, and uses guitar amps with his basss amp live.

The Damned is so fun to play. But my favorite song off the album might be An Island. That chorus riff and the amount of fuzz he has on his guitar. Great stuff.

White Pony will always be a classic. Saturday Night Wrist was pretty good, too. You're right about the diversity, but I really love how consistently good they are. They don't disappoint.
User avatar #85 - CaptainExplosion (10/28/2014) [-]
Yeah An Island is my favorite. Jawbreaker is a close second; the chorus riff is just killer.

I think just when people may have thought SNW would be their downfall, they made a crushing comeback with Diamond Eyes. That was also one of their best, and Koi No Yokan was a great followup.

You should give Royal Bloods album a listen, if you haven't yet. My favorite songs are Little Monster, Loose Change, and Ten Tonne Skeleton
