There's a show about it on TV (fairly believable too). To get really good savings, you have to have someone making money besides you because it will sometimes take more time than an actual job.

Well, I work full time as a manager at a Little Caesar's, and my girlfriend goes to school full time, so neither of us have time to do that :P Every two weeks I spend about $100 on groceries. Don't have to buy offbrands, but we mostly eat macaroni and ramen, or make big things of chili and stew, and snack on it over the week. The most expensive thing I really have to buy it Pepsi/Mountain Dew and cat food. Sam's club is amazing when it comes to stuff like toilet paper and cleaning supplies.

That's not my point bre, also I'm well aware.
the Carcano was a Beautiful rifle. also olol blackshirts.

But my point is Assassins (As portrayed in the Media) use collapsible rifles, this being a comic, (Part of the Media) is a collapsible rifle, and is no way historically accurate.
#531 - anonymous (08/29/2012) [-]
Yes, but the rifle in the comic is a bolt-action rifle that is clearly shown being loaded incorrectly. Bolt action rifles don't even have a mechanism for breaking.

The rifle isn't the point of the comic. It's not given any specific textual mention, and the focus is on the guy using it and the effects of his actions, not the rifle itself.

It's a plot device. A tool to further the narrative. It could have been a ninja star for all the difference it made to the message of the comic, but you completely ignored that. Instead of thinking about what the comic is trying to say and forming a comment about some legitimate flaw with the idea or the sources it uses (which there arguably are), you post something about the semantics of a four-panel prop, which many people might not even have noticed in the first place.

And you know what the best part is? The rifle is at the beginning. Assuming you can't operate a computer with your eyes closed, you literally had to scroll past every single point the comic/artist was trying to make in order to post about the rifle.

Are details like this important in other scenarios? Yes, of course - how else would we feasibly maintain suspension of disbelief ?

But not here, and not now.

I actually Googled " What the fuck did you just say" and it was one of the first things that came up :P I always like using it, because some people find it funny, and some people think I'm being serious and get all butthurt. And who really cares about getting thumbed down, you know?

When I first read it I lol'd off my ass bro.
I've written shit like that on my own though, and got epic thumbs down for it.

The first time I saw it was on Youtube, and I was like " Omfg I can't believe someone is sooo stupid that they'd think people would believe this", but then I scrolled down and realized he was just trolling some douche bag

I saw it on 4chan the first time.
Was funny as shit.
User avatar #564 - BunnyStew (08/29/2012) [-]
I really go on 4chan for the /k/ forum, so I've never seen it. You would think that I would though, because it's kinda military related :P
