ah well that makes sense about the house but a gun will always seem dangerous to me, no matter who's holding it, unless it's unloaded of course. People have accidents and the less deadly the thing in their hand is the less likely it is for someone to be killed

i guess accidents do happen if you're holding it with your finger on the trigger and accidentally squeeze it, but if you do, you're an idiot if you're pointing at something you're not willing to shoot, that's like rule number one, a person holding a gun that knows proper gun safety and respects the gun isn't dangerous at all, in having an accident anyway, if it's intentional that's a whole other story

Also guns don't go off for no reason, the trigger has to be pulled, also a lot of hand guns have a safety on the grip where you have to be holding it or it won't shoot

The phrase is "I couldn't care less" saying "I could care less" implies you care at least a little bit, while the former implies the inital point you were trying to make, bing that you don't care at all.

it seems a bit silly to have something so dangerous when you could just work on making your home harder to break into

Sorry. Landlord won't let me put bars over the windows and razor wire is too expensive. And firearms are only as dangerous as the person holding them.
