I just wanted to thank you for your advice. Sometimes everybody just needs someone to listen. I think you are doing a wonderful thing by reply to all those people with positive messages. You're a cool dude.

Fair point in not having that level of official expertise, but I also think experience counts for something. My mom has been a pediatric nurse for over 30 years, so she actually deals more directly with the patients. Many patients she has known for over 18 years, having been their nurse since childhood up through adulthood. She has seen these kids grow up, kids with chronic illnesses, and she has not noticed any sort of correlation between the screaming during colic and lower voices as adults. Like I said, I also had colic and have a normal voice. I personal do not know a great deal about vocals, but I find it hard to imagine that crying done as an infant would have that sort of lasting effect. Surely vocal cords change over time, especially during puberty. All I'm saying is that I trust the opinion of a veteran nurse more than a picture on an internet.
