She doesn't deserve parole if you ask me. If anything she deserves to be in maximum security prison with no extra privileges or rights. Locked away without a glimmer of sunlight and then let the other prisoners get her. People like that don't deserve to be kept out of harm from the other inmates. I bet they'll end up giving her new ID when she gets out, which is ridiculous too.

note that I'm not saying she shouldn't be punished; she committed a crime, and there is a consequence for infanticide, regardless of motive. in fact, in the eyes of the law, motive is almost completely irrelevant for any crime. all I'm saying is that she deserves a chance to fix the issues she had the misfortune of being born with, or that developed during her adolescence

She should receive some care but she shows no remorse for her actions. It's cruel what she done and her excuse is pathetic. She "didn't want to ruin her relationship with her parents" I thin she's already well and truly done that.
If only people like her could be rehabilitated. I don't believe that people like her or anyone that has committed such serious crimes to be given a new identity.They should live with the consequences, everybody else has to!
Yes she should receive help about her issues but it wouldn't change what she done. I think that such serious actions and how calmly she described in detail in what she done, is incredibly serious and should be taken as a warning given her age. It's bizarre for such things to come from a fourteen year old..

Let me rephrase that, hun. I wasn't talking about the death of the girl objectively, in fact, I was aiming at what it connotates - there are thousands of Bieber fanatics or more and the number of dumb people population will grow regardless of these isolated incidents. Natural selection doesn't work as well as it did anymore due to modern medical system, safety measures, lack of disasters like disease or war, etc. Thanks for your time, kid.

Or, to rephrase it, because we stopped a major natural process (survival of the fittest), we are going to have big problems in a few decades, or centuries from now.

There will no longer be drastic changes in human kind. It's an interesting topic really that's been discussed at my university. I am actually working on a research paper with my professor that often touches on the subject :)
