It's just another genre. What makes it so bad? Before you say "omg brostorycool rap is just about bitches money and weed!!!!!1111" I'll let you know that it most certainly isn't. The face of rap is an ugly one, we know. I will assume that you've listened to the most popular rappers such as Tyga, Lil' Wayne, Lil' B, Wiz Khalifa, etc. These rappers fit your description of "a man talking with a beat behind him". Dive deeper in the sea of rap, and you will find those who put their heart, blood, sweat, and soul into what they say. Have you bothered listening to Biggie, Tupac, Hopsin, Eminem, Andre Nickatina, or Akon? Obviously fucking not.

I'm not the "omg rap is the best guise" guy. I'm just tired of these ignorant forms of generalizations I see towards rap.

First off I wasn't trying to offend anyone, I'm sorry if I offended you. Actually yes I have heard a select number of those people. I was saying as a genre rap is lacking because MOST not all of it is as I have described. I can admit there is light to it, I was trying to point out there there isn't a lot, and that light is fading even faster lately.

oh sorry I wasn't trying to generalize, I was trying to say that for the most part the rap genre sux, I'll admit that to any music genre there is some light... I just see very little for rap.
