In Britain swimming lessons are part of the curriculum, I'm guessing that's not the case in America.

My home state (Alaska) has a required swim class. I don't know about the lower 48, but it's probably not required in inner cities/land locked states. Pretty stupid if you ask me, but that's the schooling system we're known and loved for.

People in the UK also have easier access to coastlines and waterways. Public pools in lower income areas are poorly maintained and rarely go to a depth that would require swimming. What I stated is a trend for the US; there are always exceptions to rules.

Still looks too heavy on the sides. Don't know anything about this tank though, I'm not sure if it is even using a 120mm cannon?
It looks heavy, but what do I know. Hook it up with some slat armor instead of what it's got now.

I don't see how it would beat him to death if it couldn't even touch him.
#69 - bann (10/22/2014) [-]
Gorillas can move much fast than people in that sense. His reach would trap Tyson in no time, there's no way he could avoid a half ton beast.
User avatar
#70 - capslockrage (10/22/2014) [-]
Gorillas can move faster in a straight line, not quick little zippy movements.

Overall I think Tyson would be able to dodge the Gorilla until he realizes that he won't be able to beat it up, then find a way to get away from it.
#72 - anon (10/22/2014) [-]
Tell me, how do you punch someone/-thing out, if said someone/-thing has got way superior reach than you?
Or more to the point, how do you hope to retreat from an angry Silverback from within his reach??

I think you underestimate the speed of humans

#117 - BoatLoadofCMen (10/22/2014) [-]
I think your underestimating the speed of a gorilla? This things have huge reach, only as bann said one swipe and tyson would be staggered.
User avatar
#98 - senseii (10/22/2014) [-]
are you serious? in a fight, the gorilla would just charge at him and rip him apart. No way Tyson would win.
User avatar
#113 - capslockrage (10/22/2014) [-]
I'm not saying he would win, just that he would have a good chance at staying alive.

#78 - donatelo (10/22/2014) [-]
no joke though, a gorilla would demolish him. tyson is definitely my favorite boxer, however there is no denying the strength and ferocity of a gorilla.
#77 - anon (10/22/2014) [-]
What? the speed at which a human can move backwards?
(try to evade sideways, and the reach of the Silverback gets you, ducking only works on opponents how are more concerned with aiming at your center of mass and less less with trying to punch/grab/punchgrab you with every limb they can spare atm)
#80 - anon (10/22/2014) [-]
I meant dodging, not ducking although ducking would certainly get you killed
Sorry, me no good english, yes?
#71 - bann (10/22/2014) [-]
That'd probably be the outcome, though gorillas being as wide as they are it may be tough to side step one. The other factor to consider is that it would only take one hit from a gorilla to essentially seal his fate. Once he's staggered, and the gorilla can strike him freely, game over.

I'm not sure if Spore is what hiukuss is looking for. It's a good game to mess around with and due to the creativity and freedom it gives you. The space and civilization stages are amazingly basic for what they attempt to be. It's still fun, you can colonize and sort of have wars with other civilizations but it's no space Civ.

Closest games to a space Civ around are Space Empires V, Galactic Civilizations 2 and, the most recent, Endless Space.

Though to be honest, none of these focus on ground combat too much, they are all literally in space and most work is managing planets and fleets, ground combat is mostly calculated automatically by numbers. So as far as I know there's no such thing as an interplanetary Civ around.
