Certain parts of the bible do not carry the message of the religion, and the intolerable hate toward homosexuals is one of those parts.
A merciful, all-forgiving God would not pass down a scripture saying that any person should be persecuted or executed for a facet of their life. Jesus accepted water from a Samaritan, prevented the execution of an adulterer, and performed so many more acts of human kindness. These are the teachings and examples of a loving savior. The laws of Moses, of Kings and of Pharaohs? They have been edited into the bible for the sake of verifying a ruler's whims. Any scripture of hate or discrimination is not a scripture from the heavenly father. It is from man.
