It's based around the people that watch FiM, not necessarily about the show. I see what you're saying, but there's no way you could have 24/7 all FiM posts, everyone would get bored (pun not intended). It's kind of a place to hang out and talk with some people with whom you share a common interest. I think.

It was made to be like /MLP/ on 4chan, but it failed. Now it's mainly random, and some ponies because that's what this board was made for. Like all 4chan was made for discussing anime, not anymore.

Starting to be developed does not make it's beginning, many had predicted it was going to be a failed console, and it was not clear that it was here to stay until late 2002.
I have been gaming since the early 90's, I remember all the commentary speculating that Microsoft would have extreme challenges to be a real console contender.
But they threw enough money at it, and now have the most successful section of the games industry, considering all of XBL, and other games ventures.
