If that pic is with 2 inches then that makes the wheels tuck in the wells nicely, damn things look like they're on their toes or something stock.

Pretty much, but i'm also a tinkerer, i figure lowering slightly would help, along with stiffer springs maybe, from what i know it makes sense, but i'm not so sure it'd help much with a light front end.

This is true, they don't have power steering due to it being deemed unnecessary because of the weight in the front, but there should be ways to help it.

yea, take pride in your car and dont drive like a teenager with a V8 in the back haha. learn how to drive the car and you will know its capabilities and what you can and cant do.

Well that's cool, and for that mileage i think it had all the right to crap out. There is all kinds of swaps you could do for more power, or even better fuel economy, i have 84's, only engine was the 2.5 with 92hp, up to 40mpg highway though, i've found 4cyl's that have more power and supposedly better economy, v6's with over double to triple the power stock and should have similar economy on such a light car, then some v8's that can go from the heavy iron blocks to aluminum blocks slightly heavier than a sc'd v6, , i've even seen a fiero with a caddy 500 in it, these things are a playground for swaps and driving.

Wow, they look good in black, and i only found out about them because some guy was giving his away for free, so my dad figured it'd be a good first car, just from thinking about how to fix and upgrade mine i've learned a lot more about vehicles.
#237 - fiero (02/14/2015) [-]
No doubt about learning. This car wasn't running when I picked it up. Redid all of the gaskets and have replaced almost every part on the car except the body by now. Everything I know is because of this car. Love this car with all I've got. Too bad I'm at school and it's still sitting there in that garage
User avatar #238 - reaperdylan (02/14/2015) [-]
Hey, don't feel bad, both of mine still haven't been touched really, the brakes and fuel system is shot on the first one i got, along with the body badly sun damaged, shame too, seems it was parked for the 16 years because the clutch pedal rod was bent.
User avatar #239 - reaperdylan (02/14/2015) [-]
Oh, also it seems to have been pulled up against something when they pulled it out of their yard, the passenger door is pushed in.
User avatar #232 - Black demon (02/11/2015) [-]
Yea and i plan on doing one. only bad thing about putting a big V8 in the back is that... Well its in the back haha. there goes the steering due to the front end is so light. I mean even with the small 4cy engine the front end will slide if you take a turn a little fast

What all has been done?
User avatar #229 - Black demon (02/10/2015) [-]
The roof wrap is just a phantom top but i pulled it off due to old age. This car is my dads highschool car with over 300k mileage. he put the side lights on. he put some hooker headers on with a custom pipes. It used to have a luggage rack on the back and that got taken off and the spoiler put on. The rear light kit so the are round lights and not bar lights.

But sadly atm the car engine gave out on me :/ so im waiting to get a better job and when I get money I will restore the car. and want to put a V8 engine in the car.
