An object in motion will stay in motion. I'm pretty sure it is.

No cause he's leaning forward so the opening to the hood is falling and catching on his head. It would probably go on both ways.

You do realize that him suddenly stopping the hood would try to keep moving and would then end up being on his head.

#12 - wouldnt he have to do a backflip to put the hood into his head?  [+] (17 new replies) 11/27/2012 on Gettin kinda chilly -7

the inertia of the hood would keep it moving, it is not connected to the person in more than one location, so its inertia would keep it moving forward and on to his head. its the same concept behind why seat belts have two points of contact and why whiplash happens.
1) the seatbelt has two points of contact making it so all points in between are held back
2) the head is not in between the two points so when a car is in a crash the head goes back and fourth causing whiplash,

and there are two examples showing why inertia causes the hood to fall onto his head, dumb ass.
