Atheists have faith in the thought that there is no God. Both sides have equal chance of being right, as there's an equal amount of proof for both. Meaning none. Nothing is known for sure.

I don't believe there is no god. I know there isnt. Whether that ultimately proves to be true or not remains to be seen. Do you believe you're on a computer right now? Do you believe theres a president of the US? No, you know there is. You may have not met the president but you know he's real, just as I know there is no god.

Ah but you believe that for all religious folk that faith in their deity completely takes the place of logic and reasoning when I can assure you that this is not the case.

I myself consider myself to be a Christo-Buddhist; I believe in God and I believe in Jesus his son, but I also subscribe to many Buddhist ideals on how to live one's life. Faith has led me to believe and accept the existence of God (though do not take my acceptance as a subtle; "I know I'm right". I don't know for certain, it's just what I believe) but I had to consider a lot in order to better understand the way he works and the way I believe he would wish me too.

That doesn't mean I cast out science, not at all, it's one of my favourite subjects, and I believe it is foolish anyone that completely casts science aside for their faith instead of believing that that is the way in which their deity works.
Atheist, agnostic, Christian or Muslim etc, nobody can deny the presence of science and the power of man in those fields.

I also like to point out, though not as a jibe or derogatory remark towards you or anyone (that's never what I intend, at least when debating about religion), that if one is attempting to prove that God does not exist via science, then they are not doing science.
One of the fundamentals of all sciences is that you cannot prove the exact theory, only disprove incorrect ones.
And whether you believe or not, it is fair to say that disproving an omniscient, eternal being (which may or may not have any physical form) is a very hard task.
