It's better than being just America 2.0. What differentiates Western English Canada and the U.S? English Canada imports like 97% of movies and TV show from the US, and there is even cultural cringe, where Canadians will dismiss movies made in Canada and prefer American content instead.

U mean the French and the British arent two different people? cuz it kinda look the same thing to me.
#56 - captainprincess (05/29/2015) [-]
The actual french have 100s of years of history with the british though
They understand oneanother, as bitter long term enemies
You could even say that beneath their cold and arrogant rivalry in all things, there's a sort of respect in there
When you fight with someone for so long you've no choice but to get to know them, through sheer exposure
The REAL french aren't fussed about their reputation, they've got history to back it up

Well that's because any work is open to interpretation.
I actually quite enjoyed the literary analysis pretty much the only bit I enjoyed in the literature subject because you see what different people get from the same piece and it's really interesting.
I also disagreed with a lot of what my teacher said. Like the time she said that the blue curtains were a symbol of the authors/character's sadness and the only thing I could think of was "Maybe the guy just liked blue."

But authors write stories to convey a message - they write it to express themselves. When someone turns around and tells the author that the message he was conveying was wrong and that he clearly intended to say something else, it's just incorrect. I just feel like it's putting words in the author's mouth when he explicitly says he intended it to be interpreted one way and then teachers say something completely different, and probably will teach it their way. If you want to interpret a book, then feel free, but don't 1) Say that your interpretation is truth/fact or 2) Disagree with the author himself about how it should be interpreted.

The teachers (assuming that they were worth anything as teachers) weren't saying that the author's intention was anything other than he told them. They were pointing out that there can be other interpretations, all of which could be equally valid, depending on the experiences and attitudes of those who read it. This is illustrated by the commonly used phrase, "The author is dead," which means that once the author publishes the work, his/her interpretation is likely to never be understood in its entirety by any reader, and thus each reader can have a different (although generally similar, in most cases) view of the story. Literature is an extremely subjective medium, as is all art.

-Poorly optimized for the PS3
-Explosions everywhere (directed by Michael bay)
-Not a interesting story
Good gameplay mechanics but that's about it.
I enjoyed it playing it with friends but I rate it 5/10 so far.
But I paid 4 euro for it, so it was money well spent.

it's definitely not one of the best games I've played but it has one of the best co-ops in my opinion
the gun customization is awesome, not the best but it's pretty great
the aggro system was genius for a co-op orientated game
I loved the camo and pimped out guns
the attachments were pretty well thought out
I'm not that great at sniping but it had sniping mechanics that were simple without being overly so.
I also liked that it's entirely on you to do good and earn better weapons
uninteresting story and characters that weren't easy to relate to
over the top cinematics
some of the levels were repetitive in the "oh no, we're separated now" sense
mind you that this was just all my personal opinion
solo play through, 5/10
co-op play through with a good friend bumps it up to a 8/10
