I checked the MLP wikia. They have spelled as "Cadance". I believe it is a typo.

I agree with this point. For one thing, when Twilight mentions her brother, none of the other ponies go "Wtf you have a brother?" They just go "Congrats twilight!" This clearly means they knew she had a brother that was mentioned off screen.
