If you aren't practiced at that, I find a good way to start is to find relevant cases where the quote is relevant and try to puzzle out why it fits so well (in this case, why the person in question is a poor reflection of those they encounter) and how you might provoke them into becoming themselves instead of a parrot.
This is also amazing practice for debate and social research, as I discovered quite accidentally.
