R.I.P Jimmy Sullivan, you will forever be sorely missed. Your amazing double bass, and angelic curse words you loved to belt out so much will forever stay in our hearts, I can only hope that you are sitting in Heaven, rocking out with the greats, Dimebag, Dio, Grey, and Burton. Good night, sweet prince..

Ill have to disagree with ARandomSpoon, tbh It definitely is just "Are you ready?, ARE YOU READY?. 1 2 3 GOOOOO!"

Audio quality was definitely understandable and screaming is easily dissected by a metal head.

I don't see how my imagination has anything to do with hearing a someone yelling, "1, 2, 3, go." Why would he even shout at the guy in the red to move?

The war was coming to a close. We were gonna win, but we wanted to display our power. 250,000 innocent civilians didn't deserve to die. There's a reason there's soldiers. So the civilians don't have to fight.

The war was coming to a close?! You don't seem to know your WW2. Hirohito's soldiers were posed and ready to completely take over China and die before they surrendered. I'm not sure if you're familiar with Japanese customs during that time, but they didn't "surrender" they fought until they were killed or they killed themselves. Japanese civilians were ready to attack and commit Seppuku whenever they seemed close to capture. There was no surrender. They would fight until they couldn't anymore, a landing or invasion of Japan would have killed many more people.

They did it for their reasons, and we did it for our reasons. Al Qaeda is a terrorist group to us and a savior to themselves. History is defined by the victor, its up to you to look deeper and see the truth.

Yea i understood the tone, just needed a second to get the quote.

This isnt the exact article, but it says it quite a few times that the calculations and planning before 9/11 added up to say that the WTC could handle a 100mph wind, plane crash, or bomb. And i quote "little likelihood of a collapse no matter how the building was attacked"

For some reason I forgot they had mounted .50 cals on a lot of military vehicles...
But snipers often use .50 cals now because of the extreme distance they can take someone down with it.
User avatar #409 - ARandomSpoon (09/12/2012) [-]
False. Most snipers use .408 Cheytac or .338 Lapua because its ballistics are similar to the .50 but doesn't make as much of a mess. .50 is really only used for vehicle disabling. Even the worlds longest sniper shot wasn't done with a .50
User avatar #410 - micota (09/12/2012) [-]
So because someone beat the top 5 sniper shots, that were made using a .50 bmg rifle, with a .338 lapua; it is not often used by snipers?

I didn't say most snipers used it, I said it was often used by snipers...and snipers are not exclusively used for anti-personal anymore.
Snipers can be tasked with taking out important parts of parked airplanes(turbines, aiming optics etc), engine blocks of enemy vehicles etc
And is likely very suited for urban combat support, since steel cored rounds can cause cover to turn into deadly shrapnel, if the sniper shoots through a wall someone is taking cover behind.

The .50 bmg is not exclusively anti-matter like the excessively large 20 mm rounds.
