If the theory is true, then there is a universe where this theory is false

Even if multiverse theory is true, you probably still wouldn't find EVERY conceivable version of the universe. Case in point, the 'Bizzaro' universe in DC comics, where everything bad is good and everything good is bad. A society that operated like this wouldn't last a day, because there would be basically no cooperation, everyone would just be running around killing eachother and destroying **** until they were all dead. There's only so many different ways that a society/ecosystem can effectively operate without imploding.

What you would expect to see in multiverses would be different versions of history (what if Hitler won WWII, what if MLK was never born, what if Judaism never existed, etc...). However, if there are an infinite number of universes, it is very likely that each alternate universe would be mostly unrecognizable from ours (because each split in time creates a new universe which causes different events, the changes from which would compound exponentially to create something entirely different).

Forget "what if X wasn't born?", we'd be dealing with "what if photosynthesis never evolved?" or "what if the moon hadn't formed?". The universes that would resemble ours would be only those where the split in time occurred fairly recently (since the changes spawned by the initial split haven't had too much time to compound).

TL ; DR - Alternate universes will likely look radically different from ours because one change will alter the whole equation, especially as you go further back in time.

I dunno why it's called the multiverse theory
Hypothesis is more accurate
We have about as much evidence for it as for creationists
Most pro-multi verse hypothesis scientists just take **** we can't currently explain and plug the multiverse in.
There is very limited evidence right now, so I don't know it's so popular in the mainstream.

There have always been two options for me regarding multiverse theory.

A. It's not real
B. Nobody can travel through multiverses so there really is no point knowing about it.

Because if you could travel through them, and the theory was real, then we would have a bunch of people popping in from different multiverses, since there are infinite amount of them.
